Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif de restauration dentaire assistée par ordinateur. Selon ce procédé, dans une première étape, la géométrie de la dent à restaurer est mémorisée à l'aide d'un dispositif de mesure. Dans une deuxième étape, l'image de la dent est interprétée, dans une troisième étape, l'élément de restauration est construit par CAO et dans une quatrième étape, ledit élément de restauration est fraisé dans un bloc de matériau approprié à la restauration, à l'aide d'un dispositif de meulage à commande numérique (CAM). Selon l'invention, la fonction CAO/CAM, en d'autres termes, les étapes 2, 3 et en partie 4, est transférée à un ordinateur central (13) puissant qui dispose des outils correspondants. L'ordinateur travaille dans une large mesure en mode automatique. Lorsque c'est nécessaire, il est actionné par un opérateur chevronné et est relié par ligne de données à l'appareil de mesure en 3D (2 et 15, 20) et au dispositif de meulage (17).
