Abstract

A glucocorticoid, such as cortisol or a derivative or analogue thereof, and an anti-glucocorticoid, such as dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) or a derivative or analogue thereof, are used simultaneously, separately or sequentially in treatment of chronic infections such as tuberculosis, HIV infection, leishmaniasis and syphilis.
