Abstract

By using quartz-controlled converter clock pulses in a DC-DC converter instead of the inaccurate multivibrator controlled by an RC-timer, the disturbing influence of clock pulses that are inevitably emitted by a converter in a passive transponder system may be transformed into a useful function. By controlling the quartz frequency with dividers, the converter clock pulses may be used as FSK modulation and data may thus be transmitted from the transponder or tag to the reader.
