For example, within a single group of two-way paging communications devices, all of the two-way paging communications devices within that group will be synchronized to begin transmitting at the same location in the pseudo random noise code list for any acknowledgement which may be required.
- Synchronization information is sent from the two-way paging terminal periodically to the addresses of each of the two-way paging communications devices within each group to remind the two-way pager communication devices 114 where along the pseudo random noise code they should be tracking.

In actual observations, the actual location of the two-way pager is within a 77 square meter area.
- the multipath problem is solved through the use of a multidimensional ambiguity space to eliminate observed DOA values which are least probable.
- the use of a plurality of arrays will produce a number of observed values within the n-dimensional ambiguity space, some of which are due to the actual direction of arrival and some of which are due to multipath reflections. Since the observed values in the preferred embodiment of the present invention are the result of multiple frequencies in a frequency hopped spread spectrum system, observed values and most probable values will be calculated at various frequencies. Different frequencies observed over a period of time may be more or less susceptible to the multipath problem.
- the doppler shift will be observed but minimized over time since only the most probable values due to the strongest signals will survive a histogram analysis. Thus the histogram analysis should be performed over a number of frequency hops over a longer period of time until the multipath signals statistically drop out. Thus only the true direction signals will survive the histogram analysis and will be passed to the central station for final analysis.

Abstract
La présente invention concerne un système antivol automatique pour voiture, intégré au véhicule, et fonctionnant avec un système de télé-appel bidirectionnel et un système de localisation de véhicules. Le vol ou l'effraction possible d'un tel véhicule est détecté par un système intégré, qui est situé à l'intérieur du véhicule, et qui émet un signal d'appel bidirectionnel à une station de base de télé-appel bidirectionnel. La station de base émet alors au propriétaire du véhicule un signal d'alarme en passant par une infrastructure existante de télé-appel bidirectionnel. Cela donne au propriétaire du véhicule la possibilité de vérifier si l'événement en cours est un vol ou une effraction. En cas de situation d'urgence, le propriétaire du véhicule utilise son système de télé-appel bidirectionnel pour émettre un signal d'alarme de vol réel à destination d'une autorité telle que la police, lequel signal d'alarme peut également déclencher automatiquement un système de localisation de véhicule au niveau des stations de base de télé-appel bidirectionnel. Ces stations de base de télé-appel bidirectionnel procèdent alors à une localisation du véhicule par recherche de gisement par interférométrie et triangulation utilisant le signal de liaison retour du système de télé-appel bidirectionnel. Le véhicule reçoit alors l'ordre d'émettre de façon continue des signaux qui permettent au système de télé-appel bidirectionnel de faire un suivi précis des emplacements du véhicule volé. Le signal de liaison retour du système de télé-appel bidirectionnel se présente sous la forme d'un signal de faible puissance à évasion de fréquences dans un spectre large. Ce système peut également servir pour surveiller à distance l'état du véhicule et commander à distance des fonctions sélectionnées à l'intérieur du véhicule.
