Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de localisation pour infrastructures de télécommunications commerciales sans fil. Le système est une solution de bout-en-bout présentant un ou plusieurs systèmes de localisation (42) destinés à produire les localisations voulues de combinés ou de stations mobiles (SM) disponibles dans le commerce (non illustrés), basée sur les normes de communications, par exemple, AMPS (Service téléphonique mobile évolué), NAMPS (Service mobile perfectionné à bandes étroites), AMDC ou AMRT, afin de traiter les demandes de localisation de stations mobiles à la fois locales et mondiales par, par exemple, des communications Internet dans un réseau réparti de systèmes de localisation. Le système utilise une pluralité de technologies de localisation de stations mobiles, notamment celles basées sur le TOA (instant d'arrivée) et le TDOA (différence de temps d'arrivée) bidirectionnels; des stations de base locales et des antennes réparties. En outre, le système peut être configuré de façon modulaire afin d'être utilisé dans des environnements de signalisation allant des environnements urbains, urbains denses, de périphérie, ruraux, de montagne jusqu'aux routes à faible trafic ou isolées.
