Abstract

Ce système d'alimentation sans coupure (UPS) (10), destiné à un ordinateur personnel (31) fonctionnant normalement sur une puissance de ligne à courant alternatif, comprend une batterie (56) stockant de l'énergie électrique ainsi qu'un onduleur (38) qui reçoit l'énergie stockée dans la batterie et la convertit en une tension de sortie en courant alternatif, fournie à l'ordinateur s'il se produit une variation de tension dans la puissance de la ligne. Un détecteur (40) de tension de ligne détecte la variation de tension dans la puissance de la ligne et actionne l'onduleur, en réponse à cette détection. L'onduleur comprend un optocoupleur, lequel reçoit la tension de la ligne et produit une tension de signal en réponse, laquelle est sensiblement inférieure à la tension de la ligne, ainsi qu'un comparateur, lequel reçoit le signal de sortie provenant de l'optocoupleur et compare la tension de ce signal à une tension de référence déterminée.
