Abstract

La présente invention concerne un fragment d'acide nucléique isolé codant une enzyme biosynthétique à glucide sélectionné parmi des 1,3-bêta-D-glucane synthases végétales ou des protéines du gène 'Brittle-1'. Cette invention concerne également la formation d'un gène chimère codant totalement ou partiellement l'enzyme biosynthétique glucide, dans une orientation sens ou antisens, l'expression du gène chimère entraînant la production de niveaux modifiés d'enzyme biosynthétique à glucide dans une cellule hôte transformée.
