Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a micro bowl for working with liquid dental material.
  • Liquid dental material is known in the dental field and is used during the treatment of the patient. Liquid dental material often contains light-curable constituents, light-sensitive initiator systems or volatile constituents and is often only used in very small amounts. In addition, liquid dental material often has to be mixed before use.
  • dental material is mixed in a dish open to the top, a so-called dappen dish, as soon as possible before use.

  • volatile constituents of the dental material evaporate quickly and the processing time of the dental material is thereby shortened.
  • a large evaporation problem Especially when processing small amounts of dental material in flat trays, there is a large evaporation problem.
  • the micro bowl of the present invention has the advantage that evaporation of volatile substances is reduced by the depression in the top of the hollow shell which is open at the bottom.
  • the depression is designed in such a way that the ratio of the exposed surface to the volume of the liquid dental material is low.
  • the design of the micro bowl allows the dental material to be effectively protected from light if a second micro bowl is placed on the first micro bowl filled with material in the sense of a closure.

Therefore, the micro bowl can be held in the hand for a long time without causing undesirable heating of the Dental material and thus thermal polymerization or evaporation of the volatile components by the body heat of the surgeon.
