Abstract

Procédé d'inhibition de l'action non désirée d'une hormone dans des plantes, qui consiste à réguler l'expression locale dans la plante d'un ou plusieurs gènes codant pour des antagonistes hormonaux et/ou des molécules facilitant l'action hormonale de l'antagoniste hormonal au site de l'action hormonale et/ou des molécules interférant avec la biosynthèse ou le catabolisme de l'hormone, ou conduisant à ces antagonistes et molécules. Selon ledit procédé, pour l'expression locale régulée d'un ou plusieurs antagonistes et/ou molécules facilitant l'action de l'antagoniste hormonal, la plante est transformée à l'aide d'un ou des gènes qui codent une ou les enzymes qui sont impliquées dans un ou les stades déterminants de la voie qui mène à la synthèse de l'antagoniste hormonal, ledit gène étant sous la commande d'un promoteur qui est spécifiquement induit par l'action non désirée de l'hormone de plante.
