Abstract

The invention concerns a method for controlling the division and/or elongation of eukariotic cells, and in particular plant cells, by modifying the expression and/or the activity of a TONNEAU1 protein in said cells. Said medhod enables in particular to act on the size of plants, or of their organs. The modification of the expression and/or the activity of the TONNEAU1 protein can for example, be carried out via a gene coding for said protein, or sequences controlling its expression, or by using said protein inhibitors of activators.
