Abstract

L'invention concerne un nouveau procédé de manipulation précise de volumes en picolitre-nanolitre dans des puces microfluidiques. La technique concerne l'expansion thermique d'un fluide, la pression et l'écoulement du fluide pouvant être facilement manipulées par régulation de la température du fluide. On peut appliquer efficacement de la chaleur de manière simple au moyen d'une source (30) lumineuse/infrarouge (par exemple une lampe halogène) qui chauffe sélectivement le fluide (36) dans la puce par absorption de l'énergie optique se trouvant dans la partie visible-infrarouge (VIS/IR) du spectre électromagnétique. On peut obtenir plusieurs applications de régulation et de manipulation de fluides sur des puces microfluidiques au moyen du mécanisme de pompe de fluide activé par VIS/IR, y compris une soupape.
