  • the present invention relates to a system and a method for transmitting data.
  • the invention relates to a system and a method for transmitting data / information associated with products and / or services, the data / information being requested wirelessly and made available to a user.
  • the invention is directed to a system and a method by means of which data / information about products and services can be acquired or used, for which purpose user-friendly end user devices are used in particular.
  • the invention is therefore also concerned with end user devices for the wireless transmission of data / information and with methods for operating the same.
  • Different advertising measures and means are used to make data / information about products and services available to a customer.
  • information signs or boards, labels and the like are arranged in spatial association with products, which provide the customer with product-specific information (e.g. price, technical data, clothing size, ).
  • product-specific information e.g. price, technical data, clothing size, .
  • Such advertising media usually only provide a small amount of product information, which is often not sufficient, particularly with technical products, to persuade a buyer to purchase a product.

  • the product information can be called up by a buyer using an interactive user interface, for example in the form of a touch-sensitive screen.
  • a buyer can no longer receive the desired product information in the (immediate) vicinity of the product in question, but must go to an information terminal. Since many customers "save” this "walk” to a user terminal, the (advertising) effectiveness of information terminals is often unsatisfactory. It should also be noted that buying interest declines when a buyer moves away from a product that is of interest to him, in order to call up corresponding product information at an information terminal.
  • data / information about products and services is provided without spatial reference to them.
  • posters, radio and television broadcasts and the like are used for this.

  • Many providers have recently been offering the possibility of handling the purchase of products or the use of services by telephone. In this case, a buyer must not only contact the relevant provider by phone, but also provide him with personal data (e.g. name, address, bank account, credit card number, ).
