Abstract

L'invention concerne un réseau optique comportant des paires adjacentes de noeuds dans un anneau connecté par une/des fibre(s) optique(s) de service et par une/des fibre(s) optique(s) de protection à largeur de bande inférieure. Chaque noeud comporte un dispositif de commutation optique destiné à commuter des signaux à partir d'au moins une entrée externe vers le noeud, sur une fibre de protection, chaque noeud comportant également un détecteur pour détecter une défaillance ou une dégradation de signal sur la/chaque fibre entrante de service. La commutation optique est commandée en fonction de la défaillance ou de la dégradation détectée du signal. Une configuration d'anneau protégé commuté optiquement présente ainsi une protection partagée, une protection 1 : n, par exemple. Le partage de largeur de bande de protection entre des fibres de service à plus grande largeur de bande améliore l'efficacité des fibres. Pour cela, on doit attribuer un niveau de service aux signaux passant par les fibres de service, de sorte que les canaux de kiosque soient protégés contre une défaillance de câble étant donné que la largeur de bande de protection inférieure leur a été attribuée.
