- the new invention device mainly comprises a handle associated with a hollow hypodermic needle. Inside said handle is a reel of suture thread that is dispensed through a mouth, at the base of the hollow needle, to exit through the front end thereof. Said needle has a triple bevel at said outer end for a better introduction at the edge of the fabric to be sewn. Between said triple bevel is the exit hole of the suture, which appears in a small amount to be able to grab it and handle it.
- the principle of use is simple, since the doctor who uses the device holds it by hand with the handle, which is especially ergonomic. Then insert the sharp end of the needle into one edge of the tissue and then into the adjacent edge of the tissue. When the needle appears on the other side of the tissue, it shows the thread of suture. Then, said free end of the thread is held with a clamp or the like and the needle is removed from the tissues by stretching from the handle. When the end of the thread is attached, part of the spool thread is unwound, which is inserted into the holes generated by the needle. This fragment of thread left in the fabric is supplied by the inner spool of the device and is always clean.

- the needle is preferably curved, in order to facilitate sewing of interior fabrics or in situations where the handling space is not abundant, although a straight needle can also be used for surface sutures and the like.
- Said needle is anchored at the front end of the handle, in a fixing mouth that on its back communicates with a chamber where the spool of thread is housed. This chamber is in turn communicated with the outside through holes or lateral grooves in the handle housing, which allows its complete sterilization by immersion, gas or autoclave.
- the needle is preferably fixed and anchored to the handle through the mouth, forming a single body, although an alternative embodiment that can be disassembled and interchangeable is provided.
- Said needle is oriented at a certain angle to the axis of the handle, so that when the doctor manipulates the device does not have to touch nearby tissues. An angle between approximately 24 and 45 degrees allows the user's fingers not to rub said tissues when the needle is being introduced, but allows transmitting enough force to deepen the needle.
- the handle that comprises the reel has its anatomical exterior shape and adapted to the user's hand, whether it is right or left handed, preventing it from sliding or slipping. Its constitution authorizes a greater vision of the field of operation since the hand is further away. - the necessary thread is much smaller since only the minimum is used at each point and not the exaggerated amount needed using a conventional needle.
- the point made is with the same force as a conventional and stronger point than with a staple or other false means.
- the risk that the doctor suffers punctures is avoided since the needle is held by an anatomical handle and suitable for this purpose, being able to penetrate it more comfortably.
- the spool of thread allows a more prolonged use, with which a single device allows to realize all the points of a wound although it is very large.
- the device allows a simple and low-cost mass production, comprising in itself all the necessary means for its use, making it an ideal tool for emergency situations and as a disposable instrument after use. Indeed, the device is easy to sterilize in series and be hygienically and safely packaged. A particularly suitable form of presentation of the device is in a sterile bag or blister for single use and later discarded.
