Moreover, such an axle control valve may be provided to afford simplified anti-lock control of brake pressure of wheels of a lifting axle the tyres of wheels of which contact the rolling surface only when the vehicle is heavy-laden. By such means the size of actuators to one or more other axles may be less than otherwise required, whilst providing extended distribution of braking of the vehicle.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de freinage anti-blocage destiné à un véhicule semi-remorque routier commercial équipé de freins à air comprimé et comportant un essieu autovireur doté de tels freins, dans lequel une unité électronique de commande (16) permet de commander sélectivement les pressions de freinage de chaque côté d'un autre essieu de freinage selon l'adhérence de surface de roulement différentielle afin de réduire le patinage au moyen de modulateurs de pression respectifs. Les pressions de sortie de ces modulateurs (6L, 6R) sont appliquées, de façon additionnelle, directement via une vanne de commande d'essieu (15) aux vérins de frein de roues de l'essieu autovireur et la vanne de commande d'essieu comprend un moyen (20L, 20R), commandé électriquement par l'unité électronique de commande, qui permet d'isoler la plus grande des sorties des modulateurs des freins de roue respectifs de l'essieu autovireur au démarrage de la commande anti-blocage, ce qui tend à égaliser les pressions de freinage aux roues de l'essieu autovireur qui correspondent à la pression du modulateur du côté d'adhérence faible de l'autre essieu.
