Abstract

A tie-down system for attaching beams used in creating a roof system to the supporting walls of a structure. The tie-down system having a first member (10) with a bottom panel (14) having at least a first extended region (16) and at least a first panel (20) emanating therefrom. An affixing means (106) for attaching first panel (20) to a member (80) and an anchoring means (94) for securing first extended region (16) to the supporting walls. A second member (12) which may also be included to receive the beams (80) therein and secure the same to the wall structure (82) in a steadfast manner.
