Definitions
- the invention relates to a product for health care with an essentially web-shaped carrier material which has at least one adhesive zone designed for producing a releasable adhesive bond with human skin, a further product and / or an attachment zone of the same product.
- Products of this type are used, for example, in the form of adhesive or fixing plasters for fixing wound dressings, infusion tubes, cannulas or electrodes.
- adhesive or fixing plasters for fixing wound dressings, infusion tubes, cannulas or electrodes.
- the object of the invention is to provide a product of the type described at the outset, which allows secure fixation without excessive stress on the skin, the further product or the fastening zone.
- this object is achieved by a further development of the known products, which is essentially characterized in that the carrier material has at least one, preferably non-adhesive and preferably elastic, deformable zone which adjoins at least one adhesion zone and is flexible under tensile load.
- This invention is based on the astonishingly simple realization that the tensile loads associated with movements in the area of the adhesive zone remain without influence on the adhesive zone itself if these tensile loads are absorbed with a suitable, flexible zone before they reach the adhesive zone.
- the resilient zone is elastically deformable, because in this way an expansion which has taken place under tensile load can be returned as soon as the tensile load is released, without warping or the like occurring in the carrier material. It is particularly important that the resilient zone of the product according to the invention is itself non-adhesive, because the adhesion to the skin, another product or the fastening zone would inhibit a deformation desired under tensile stress. Overall, by using the flexible zone, a reduction in the mechanical loads in the area of the adhesive zone during movements in the vicinity of this adhesive zone is achieved, so that possible irritations are correspondingly reduced when the adhesive zone is applied to the skin.
- connection point adhesion zone - skin is less stressed.
- the adhesion zone of products according to the invention can be achieved by means of an adhesive applied to the carrier material. Additionally or alternatively, provision is also made for the provision of adhesive zones in the manner of a surface adhesive fastener or Velcro fastener. When using Velcro fasteners, multiple use of products according to the invention is possible.
- the adhesive zone has a lower flexibility or elasticity than the flexible zone, because in this way the occurrence of tensions in the area of the adhesive zone when this adhesive zone is applied to the skin further product or the fastening zone of the same product can be prevented.
- the adhesive zone is essentially rigid under tensile loads.
- the resilient or elastic zone of the product according to the invention can be made of a material that differs from the rest of the carrier material, such as an extrudate.
- the connection between the flexible zone and the adjacent zone of the carrier material can be made by extrusion, gluing and / or welding and / or by a releasable connection (e.g. Velcro).
- flexible zones which consist of the same material as the zones of the carrier material adjoining them.
- desired properties of the flexible or elastic zone can be achieved by appropriate processing of the carrier material, such as by crimping, overstretching and / or shrinking.
- the products according to the invention described so far can be used, for example, as wound covering fixings.
- products according to the invention As a hose fixation, it has proven to be particularly advantageous if two adhesive zones are provided, between which a flexible zone is arranged.
- the hose to be fixed can be arranged between the adhesive zones in the region of the flexible zone, so that the part to be fixed (here the hose) does not come into contact with the adhesive and therefore no contamination of this part and the otherwise necessary cleaning of this part Partly not necessary.
- Products according to the invention with a flexible zone arranged between two adhesive zones can also be used as a cannula or electrode fixation.
- the flexible zone expediently has an opening for the passage of the cannula or electrode.
- the cannula or electrode can be attached by "putting it over”.
- the flexible or elastic zone avoids the mechanical stress on the skin and the associated irritation.
- the adhesive / skin connection point is less stressed in these embodiments, which reduces the risk of the fixation detaching from the skin.
- products according to the invention is also intended for those applications in which a tensile load in the area of the adhesion zone is just desired. This is the case, for example, with nasal plasters that aim to enlarge the airways of the nose.
- an elastic zone is arranged between two adhesive zones and is used to apply a tensile load in the area of this adhesive zone, in order to ensure a permanent enlargement of the respiratory tract of the nose.
- stretching this zone ensures that there is a permanent pull for the duration of wear, the respiratory tract through the nose is enlarged accordingly and thus the oxygen supply through the nose is improved.
- the products according to the invention can also be used as wound dressings or joint dressings.
- a wound pad provided to cover the wound is also expediently arranged on the carrier material.
- the flexible or elastic zone is expediently arranged and / or between the wound pad and the adhesive zone overlaps the wound pad.
- the flexible or elastic zone during movements reduces the mechanical stress on the skin and reduces the risk of possible skin irritation.
- the adhesive-skin connection point is also less stressed in this case, which reduces the risk of the wound dressing detaching from the skin.
- the flexible or elastic zones are arranged in the immediate vicinity of the wound pad, the likelihood that the wound comes into contact with the adhesive or adhesive is reduced.
- the adhesive area per skin can additionally be reduced, which further contributes to reducing the risk of skin irritation.
- a cover element such as an incision film, a plaster card or the like, is detachably attached to at least one adhesive zone, because such a undesired sticking of the product according to the invention away from the desired place of use can be reliably prevented.
- products according to the invention can also be used in the form of elastic bandages.
- Elastic bandages are usually produced using elastic fibers in the backing material web, this backing material web being provided on one side with an adhesive coating. This can lead to skin irritation due to glue - skin contact. Furthermore, application difficulties arise due to adhesive-related high and irregular unwinding forces.
- Products according to the invention intended for use as an elastic bandage have a plurality of elastic zones arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the web-shaped carrier, preferably at approximately constant intervals, and adhesive zones adjacent thereto, preferably immediately adjacent to them.
- the application difficulties described above can be avoided if at least one of the adhesive zones in the relaxed state of the elastic zone adjoining them overlaps an adjacent section of the carrier material and this adjacent section does not form an adhesive connection with the adhesive zone.
- This can be achieved particularly easily if the adhesive zones are realized in the form of Velcro fasteners.
- the adhesion zone overlapping the adjacent section of the carrier material can adhere an underlying layer of the elastic bandage can be achieved when this adhesive zone comes to lie next to the section of the carrier material that otherwise overlaps the adhesive zone when the elastic zone adjoining it and then an adhesive connection can be made with an underlying layer of the elastic bandage.

- the adhesive zones 20 and 22 extending along the shorter edges of the rectangular carrier 10 are realized in the form of an adhesive applied to the carrier 10. With a total length of the carrier of, for example, 300, 400 or 500 mm, these adhesive zones can have a width of approximately 20 mm.
- This adhesive zone 24 is arranged at a distance of approximately 60 mm from the adhesive zone 20. Adjacent to the adhesive zone 24, the elastic zone 30 is arranged between the adhesive zone 24 and the adhesive zone 22.

- the hose 50 to be fixed with the aid of the product according to the invention shown in FIG. 2 runs in the area of the material web 10 below the elastic, non-adhesive zone. For this reason, forces exerted on the product via this hose 50 initially lead to an elastic deformation of the adhesive zone 30 before they reach the adhesive zones 20 and 22, so as to reduce the risk of the hose fixation coming off the skin.
- the hose fixation shown in FIG. 2 largely prevents contamination of the hose 50 due to adhesive residues, because the hose 50 is arranged exclusively under the non-adhesive elastic zone 30 and thus only in exceptional cases with the adhesive or adhesive in the area of the adhesive zone 20 and 22 comes in contact '.
