Abstract

La présente invention a pour objet un générateur d'ondes hyperfréquences de tres grande puissance utilisant le phénomene de cathode virtuelle. Le générateur d'ondes hyperfréquences (60) comporte un dispositif d'émission (62) susceptible de produire des électrons dans un circuit hyperfréquences de sortie (64, 66), la quantité d'électrons émise étant suffisante pour provoquer une variation régulière de la densité d'électrons dans le circuit hyperfréquence de sortie, le circuit réalisant la transformation de l'énergie cinétique des électrons en énergie hyperfréquence selon un mode de résonance, le dispositif d'émission d'électrons émettant les électrons dans plusieurs régions du circuit hyperfréquences présentant des extrémas (Exa1, Exa2, Exa3) de champs du mode de résonance.
