Abstract
Procédé de réduction catalytique d'oxydes d'azote dans lequel un carburant est alimenté dans un état alterné périodiquement riche / pauvre et brûlé, et un gaz d'échappement généré est contacté avec une structure de catalyseur pour réduire par catalyse les oxydes d'azote dans le gaz d'échappement. Le procédé est caractérisé en ce que la structure de catalyseur comprend un substrat inerte, sur lequel sont formés: (A) une couche de composant de catalyseur de surface comportant un composant de catalyseur de surface tel que le minerai de cérium; (B) un catalyseur intermédiaire comportant un composant de catalyseur intermédiaire tel que le minerai de cérium et un deuxième composant de catalyseur intermédiaire, sélectionné parmi rhodium, palladium et leurs oxydes, etc.; et (C) une couche de catalyseur interne comportant un composant de catalyseur interne tel que le minerai de cérium et au moins un composant de catalyseur sélectionné parmi le platine, le rhodium, le palladium et leurs oxydes.
