Abstract

A more accurate reconstruction of the data from a cone beam CT scan of a breathing patient is sought, which avoids the choice between a large volume of non-phase correlated data and a smaller volume of phase-correlated data. The dataset is therefore split into phase-correlated data sets, which are compared to each other and the relative transformation determined. This transformation then applied in reverse to bring the data sets back to a single phase. The whole data set is then used to reconstruct an image of that phase. Corresponding apparatus, methods and software modules are disclosed.
