Abstract

L'invention concerne un photodétecteur à fibre optique pourvu d'un élément photoconducteur, tel qu'un élément semiconducteur, présentant une longueur de fibre. L'élément semiconducteur se présente sous la forme d'un matériau non composite dans au moins une direction de fibre. Au moins une paire d'électrodes conductrices est en contact avec l'élément semiconducteur le long de la longueur de fibre et un isolateur est placé le long de cette longueur. Un résonateur optique peut être placé le long de la longueur de fibre et le long d'une trajectoire d'éclairage vers l'élément semiconducteur. Le résonateur est dimensionné pour réfléchir sensiblement toutes les longueurs d'onde de l'éclairage sauf pour une gamme prescrite de longueurs d'onde transmises à l'élément semiconducteur. Ce photodétecteur à fibre peut être installé dans une grille de fibres de photodétection, un tissu de fibres de photodétection ou toute autre configuration destinée à détecter un éclairage incident.
