Abstract

La présente invention a trait à une unité de surveillance autonome intégrée et compacte comportant: un boîtier comprenant une extrémité avant et une extrémité arrière; une section de capteur fixée à l'extrémité avant du boîtier; un mécanisme pour la détermination de la position de l'unité; un système de communication; un ordinateur, et une sortie d'images fixée à l'extrémité arrière du boîtier reliée à l'ordinateur. L'ordinateur, un processeur de signaux numérique, est relié à la section de capteur, aux mécanismes de détermination de position, au système de communication et à la sortie d'images. Tout l'ensemble est supporté par le boîtier. Le capteur est choisi parmi le groupe comprenant des capteurs du visible, des capteurs d'ultraviolet, des capteurs d'infrarouge de courte longueur d'onde et des capteurs d'infrarouge de longue longueur d'onde. La section de capteur comporte également un réseau de plan focal non refroidi. Les mécanismes de détermination de position comprennent un système de positionnement mondial, un système global de navigation à satellites, un accéléromètre et une boussole. Le système de communication, qui est bidirectionnel, comporte une antenne à plaque multimode et une système radio logicielle (SDR). L'ordinateur comporte un module de traitement de signaux numériques, un réseau prédiffusé programmable et une mémoire (volatile et non volatile). La sortie d'images est, de préférence, un affichage frontal qui est amovible du boîtier. L'unité de surveillance comporte des mécanismes pour la saisie et la manipulation de données, comprenant un bloc à effleurement. Enfin, l'unité peut comprendre un mécanisme pour fixer au boîtier un fusil dans un emplacement dans lequel la sortie d'images serait dans la ligne de mire d'un tel fusil.
