Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de stockage de données (132), par ex. un disque optique, une mémoire flash ou un disque dur, qui est muni d'une étiquette RFID (136) pour en réguler l'utilisation. L'étiquette RFID mémorise des données d'authentification biométriques (235-255) d'un utilisateur, en plus des informations (210) pour décrypter des données cryptées, dans le dispositif de stockage de données. Une représentation numérique (305-320) d'une entrée biométrique de l'utilisateur est obtenue et une fonction de traitement de messages est utilisée pour obtenir les données d'authentification biométriques. Les données d'authentification provenant d'une nouvelle entrée biométrique sont comparées aux données stockées. Si les données correspondent, les informations de décryptage (210) sont lues à partir de l'étiquette RFID et sont utilisées pour décrypter les données cryptées. Seule une partie des données figurant dans le dispositif de stockage de données, comme des en-tête (1102) de trames (1100) nécessite d'être décryptée. L'étiquette RFID peut également mémoriser des données de validité (212) ajoutées en un point de vente.
