  • plate 40 is anatomically pre-contoured as shown in Fig. 4 and differently anatomically pre-contoured along the length thereof such that the curvature arc of base section 42 is generally greater than the curvature arc of leg section 46 and the change in contour from distal end 50 to proximal end 52 is smoothly progressive.
  • Plate 40 is anatomically pre-contoured to closely fit the bone surface to which it is applied to reduce the amount of bending prior to fixation.

Abstract
