Abstract
L'invention concerne des articles géocomposites de biorestauration permettant de traiter (digérer) des contaminants dans le sol ou dans l'eau ainsi que leur procédé de fabrication. Le tapis géocomposite de biorestauration comprend un géotextile tissé ou non tissé présentant une épaisseur d'environ 6 mm à environ 200 mm. Dans le mode de réalisation préféré, les couches extérieures de l'article géocomposite présentant une porosité suffisante pour recevoir un matériau pulvérulent ou granulaire réactif aux contaminants, un matériau de sorption des contaminants ou un matériau neutralisant les contaminants dans au moins des parties extérieures de l'épaisseur sur la totalité de sa ou de ses surfaces principales pour améliorer le contact des bactéries avec des contaminants contenus par le matériau pulvérulent ou granulaire. Dans le mode de réalisation idéal, des feuilles protectrices perméables aux liquides sont collées aux surfaces principales supérieure et inférieure de l'article géotextile contenant des bactéries afin d'empêcher un matériau pulvérulent ou granulaire de s'échapper du géotextile pendant le transport et l'installation.
