Definitions
- the invention relates to a triple image consisting of three images, of which the first is arranged as a background image and the other two as left side image and right side image in n narrow
- Viewer can recognize these different images by changing his position.
- prisms are applied to the image carrier whose width corresponds to the image strip.
- One image strip of one of the images to be displayed is applied one after the other to this base area.
- the images to be displayed are thus stripes, but mixed together in a uniform image-oriented order. Due to the different angular positions of the individual image strips on the prisms, two images are always visible at the same time. By analogy with this, a higher number of images can also be accommodated on correspondingly shaped polygonal profiles.
- the existing real polygonal profiles can be replaced by narrow, running over the entire height of the image, optical lenses. These so-called lenticular sheets let the
- the invention has set itself the task of finding a representation geometry in which three images on the same base are made completely separated from each other.
- the object is achieved by a triple image consisting of three murals according to the invention that the first image strip from the left of the left side image is applied with its back to the back of the first image strip from the left of the right side image and the second image strip from the left of the left side image accordingly is arranged on the second image strip from the left of the right side image and all other image strips are combined to "n" in equal pairs of image strips and all pairs of image strips on the background image perpendicular to the image surface, parallel to an edge, with the same distance of the image strip pairs to each other, and in image more appropriate Order are arranged.
- Viewing direction and viewing angle form a straight line in the plan view of the edge of a triple image.
- the totality of all points, of which only one single image is visible, forms in space a level.
- the eyes of the image viewer are in this plane, they perceive only one image.
- a triple image For a triple image according to the invention numerous interesting variants are possible.
- a single, thin and flat image carrier is sufficient if one image strip from the background image, from the left side image and from the right side image is strung together in always the same order and otherwise in an image-appropriate manner. If the image strips are folded at their edges and then the image strips of the two page images are folded so that the image strips of the page images each back-to-back contact surface and protrude into the space in front of the background image, the inventive
- An inventive triple image is characterized by three levels in front of it, on which the viewer perceives only the left side image, the background image and then the right side image. If the viewer stands within the sector between the background image and the plane where only the left side image is visible, he will only see the left side image in this sector, but not completely, since the image strips partly cover each other. If the viewer continues to walk counterclockwise from this left-most sector, If the layers on which the left side image and the background image are visible, he will see both the left side image and the background image in this sector. If the viewer stands for the background image in the main viewing plane, the page images are not recognizable. The viewer wanders further towards the
- the background image is replaced by other surfaces.
- the first variant is a mirror. In this configuration, the viewer perceives only the left side image from any position. If it is more in the center in front of the image, that is, between the main viewing plane for the left page image and the main viewing plane for the right page image, the background will each reflect a portion of the image strip from the page image. The page image is thus supplemented by mirrored parts. The image motif, however, remains even more recognizable. If the background image is laid out in one color, especially if that color is simultaneously on the background color of one or both of the page images, the viewer will perceive the page image with all its details from all angles. An alternative is also to completely omit the background image and to realize only the page images.
- the side images can each be displayed in such a way that they appear in an image-conforming proportion from the main viewing plane. Since the observer does not look at the side images perpendicular to their surface but at an acute angle to the surface, the side images only appear in their original size from the main viewing plane, but they are compressed on the side.
- This distortion can be compensated by applying the image to the image carrier with a corresponding distortion in the other direction.
- the distortion factor is the quotient of the width of the image strip in relation to the half distance between the trailing edge of a pair of image strips and the leading edge of the adjacent image strip pair.
- a triple image according to the invention on a curved surface.
- this must be applied according to the curvature of the image carrier with a corresponding compensation distortion.
- the background image appears undistorted and in proportions appropriate to the image from a certain perspective.
- the page images can be optimized to a certain level of consideration.
- the width of the image strips must be varied so that their leading edges are aligned.
- the distance of each image strip to its neighbor is proportional to its width with a factor that is the same for the entire image.
- Further possible applications of a triple image according to the invention result from the choice of the direction of the image strips. A satisfactory, optical change from the one main viewing plane to the next main viewing plane is always possible if the direction of movement of the image-viewing person is oriented perpendicular to the direction of the image strips.
- the image strips should always be selected parallel to the optical vertical of the background image.
- the image strip should be aligned transversely to the optical vertical of the three images.
- the third variant is a triple image, which is intended for suspension in a large staircase. Also in this case, the image strips should be aligned perpendicular to the direction of movement of the image-viewing person. Since the staircase leads people “diagonally” through the room, in this case the image strips should also be aligned "diagonally” to the vertical of the background image.
- they are oriented perpendicular to the average slope of the stairs.
- Another extension of a triple image according to the invention is to make the three main viewing planes visible in the space in front of the triple image. From these levels, as is well known, the left side image, the background image and the right side image alone - and with appropriate predistortion - also visible in image-appropriate proportions. So it makes sense that the intersections of this main viewing plane with particular objects in the room and / or with the floor or the plane on which the viewing People are going to mark.
- the invention proposes to lines on the floor or ceiling, carpets, walkways, avenues, railings, stairs, seating, crosshairs, rings, light sources, corridors or the like.
- a triple image according to the invention can also be adapted to conditions in the space in front of it.
- the main viewing plane of the background image is basically oriented perpendicular to it. So if this z. B. is to be tuned to one, the triple image feeding alley, it is for the entire triple image to rotate about its vertical axis until it is oriented perpendicular to the direction of the avenue.
- the main viewing level for a page image can be determined by the spacing between the individual image strips. This distance must be chosen so that the main viewing direction is the connecting line from the leading edge of a picture strip to the trailing edge of the adjacent picture strip. In this way, a large triple image of the spatial conditions of three-fold narrow carpets, corridors, sidewalks, avenues, railings,
- Stairs or other line-shaped elements are tuned. Even on squares or inside rooms, it is possible to tune to queuing stations, pedestrian traffic lights, public telephones, seating, bar tables, doors, counter, or the like. Also in rooms with highly specialized uses, such. As with sanitary facilities, the vote on all points makes sense where people repeat themselves and for a presumably somewhat longer time.
- a triple image according to the invention can also be pivoted as a whole. Especially if the majority of Concentrating viewers in a particular direction can be used to create interesting effects. It is conceivable z. B. the use as a swivel stage design or as a cost-effective information and advertising system in public areas.
- a further embodiment according to the invention is to pivot the image strip pairs with the side images about their longitudinal axis. This functionality can be easily and inexpensively fulfilled by commercially available systems for solar shading. Here is the possibility of the functionality of a triple image
- the background picture is parallel to the window surface, textile material, which is rolled up or slid in segments to the side.
- the side images are applied on the two surfaces of the slats. In this arrangement, the entire three-image can be moved out of the field of view. Selectively, either the background image or the two side images or all three can be shown together.
- the page image can be optimized by pivoting the slats to a specific level in the room. Applications include celebratory events and theatrical productions.
- Another application of a structure of a triple image according to the invention is to equip at least a portion of the triple image with changing displays such as light-emitting diode arrays, flat screens and other electronically controlled displays or purely mechanically moving display elements.
- This configuration is particularly interesting for large displays in stadiums, waiting halls or passageways.
- An expensive advertising space on frequented paths offers the passers by the extension of a page image with flat screens already in the approach to the advertising space another, proportionate picture. Directly in front of the advertising space sees the Viewer the background picture.
- the second page image primarily serves as a message for passers-by who approach the triple image from the other direction.
- Structure of a triple image is the application as an information display in large meeting rooms.
- the problem often arises that the more back seated a display near the stage or the lectern can not always properly recognize because it is covered by people sitting in front of it or too far away.
- a triple image system can be positioned on the long side of the meeting room. Due to the side image, even those sitting directly next to it can read off perfectly. The background image informs the gathered in the middle of the room.

- a triple image is drawn in perspective view. It is shown from a viewpoint to the left of the triple image and a viewpoint to the right of the triple image.
- a viewpoint of the observer is selected for whom a triple image is not preferred, namely far outside of the planes perpendicular to all images. From this point of view, it can be seen that the image strips 21 to 2n are perpendicular to the image strip of the background, 11 to 1n.
- the difference between the left and right viewing angles reveals that the left side image 2 is visible once and the right side image 3 is visible.

- the background image 1 is omitted. This corresponds to the configuration according to the invention of a triple image with a monochrome background image. Even from this, actually less suitable viewer perspective, it becomes clear that only one of the two side images of a certain location becomes visible. But if two people are standing in different places, they will see two different pictures on the same area at the same time.
- FIG. 4 shows a triple image in plan view, parallel to the edges of the image strips.
- the main viewing planes 200, 100 and 300 are marked on which the left side image 2, the background image 1 and the right side image 3 are each alone visible. What is visible at these levels is in
- FIG. 5 shows a triple image on a curved background image 1 with image strips of the side images 2 and 3 in uneven width.
- the leading edges of the image strips are aligned. It can be understood that the desired main direction of sight forms the connecting line from the front edge of a picture strip to its neighbor. Accordingly, this results in a different distance between the image strips.
- the result of these adjustments are also complete images from the main viewing directions of the page images.
