Abstract

Un panneau d'affichage à plasma (PDP) comprend un premier substrat et un second substrat opposés entre eux. La zone d'affichage d'image du panneau d'affichage plasma est constituée de cellules émettant de la lumière par décharge. Des premières électrodes s'étendant dans la première direction et disposées à intervalles et une première couche diélectrique recouvrant la zone d'affichage au niveau des premières électrodes sont disposées sur le premier substrat. Des secondes électrodes s'étendant dans la seconde direction orthogonale à la première direction et disposées à intervalles sont disposées sur la première couche diélectrique. Un matériau de joint étanche est disposé en forme de cadre sur la partie périphérique externe de la zone d'affichage, dans le second substrat sur un côté plus interne que la bordure de la première couche diélectrique afin de relier le second substrat au premier substrat. Au niveau de la partie reliée du matériau de joint étanche, un espace est créé par la différence des hauteurs d'étages entre la première couche diélectrique et le premier substrat, ce qui permet au PDP peut conserver son étanchéité à l'air et sa fiabilité.
