Abstract
La présente invention concerne une formule et un procédé pour obtenir un matériau du type pierre de carrière, lequel peut être sculpté, façonné ou coupé. La formule proposée peut se présenter sous forme pulvérulente ou semi-humide. Un des avantages offerts par la formule sèche pour l'obtention du matériau de type pierre de carrière réside dans le fait que sa présentation en poudre est facile à transporter étant donné que la poudre est disposée dans des sacs pratiques à manipuler, ce qui permet d'éviter à la pierre ou à la pièce tout mauvais traitement. Le matériau du type pierre de carrière obtenu selon ladite formule et ledit procédé, a l'aspect de la pierre de carrière naturelle et présente également les caractéristiques suivantes : une porosité de 50 % à 80 % inférieure à celle de la pierre naturelle, une capacité d'absorption d'humidité inférieure de 50 % à 80 % par rapport à la pierre de carrière naturelle, et une capacité de résistance à l'abrasion augmentant de 30 % à 80 % par rapport à la pierre de carrière naturelle. Outre lesdits avantages, le matériau de l'invention est beaucoup plus économique que la pierre de carrière naturelle, étant donné que sa production est assurée au moyen des résidus issus de la production de pierre de carrière naturelle.
