Abstract

　本発明は、（１）Ｔ１緩和能が高く、少ない投与量でも高感度に造影可能であり、（２）全身血管及び肝臓の造影に優れ、かつ、（３）膵臓の造影にも優れ、（４）さらに２４時間以内に体外に大部分が排泄される安全性を有する新規なガドリニウム化合物、及びそれを含む造影剤を提供する。このガドリニウム化合物は、下記一般式（１）で表されることを特徴とする。 　　【化１】 （式中、Ｇはヒドロキシル基と糖が、糖のアノマー位でエーテル結合を形成した一価の残基を表し、～線は糖のアノマー位の立体配位が、α体及び／またはβ体であることを表し、Ｊは二価のアルキレン基を表す。ｎは１または２を表す。）
