Abstract
La présente invention concerne des procédés et des dispositifs pour l'ablation extracorporelle de cellules cibles circulant dans le sang d'un organisme. Le matériel exogène introduit dans le sang s'associe de préférence aux cellules cibles (par exemple des cellules cancéreuses, des bactéries, des virus) dans le sang. Un chemin de flux continu extracorporel a accès au sang du patient, afin d'appliquer une source d'énergie externe au sang à un dispositif d'ablation ex vivo, dans une portion du chemin de flux continu extracorporel. Le matériel exogène interagit avec l'énergie appliquée pour entraîner l'endommagement ou la mort des cellules cibles. Le sang est ensuite renvoyé au corps selon un modèle de flux continu. En appliquant l'énergie tandis que le sang se trouve dans le dispositif d'ablation ex vivo, on diminue la protection des cellules cibles par le corps, et on évite ou on atténue ainsi les effets nuisibles sur les organes et les tissus corporels.
