Description

Description MULTI-LAYER COOKER
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a multi-layer cooker comprising triple layers for cooking, and cooking food by an indirect heating source. More particularly, the present invention relates to a multi-layer cooker capable of functioning as both a broiler and a barbecue roaster, while restraining burning of a food being cooked and generation of soot since a flame does not directly touch the food being cooked, and achieving the effect of a steam cooker by supplying heat toward an opening disposed at an upper part thereof when used as the roaster. Background Art
[2] Generally, cookers are classified mainly into cook-pots for cooking food containing liquid, and roasters for cooking meat and the like.
[3] Out of the roasters according to conventional arts, there is a double-layer roaster structured in double layers as shown in FIG. 7. In such a double-layer roaster, a cooking heat is applied directly to a food being cooked, thereby reducing a cooking time while preventing the food being cooked from burning.
[4] Referring to the drawing, the double-layer roaster comprises a pot main body 100 that includes an outer main body 110 and an inner main body 120 connected to each other by upper parts thereof, a grill 130 removably mounted to an inside of the pot main body 100, a lid 140 covering an upper part of the pot main body 100, and a handle 111 formed on the outside of the outer main body 110.
[5] The above- structured conventional double-layer roaster operates as follows. A cooking heat of fire is supplied through a fuel jet formed on a bottom surface of the outer main body 110 to heat a bottom of the inner main body 120. Part of the cooking heat is guided into the inner main body 120 through heat holes 120a formed at an upper side of the inner main body 120, thereby cooking the food.
[6] When the conventional double-layer roaster is used as a cook-pot, cooking can be performed favorably since a flame is directly applied to the inner main body 120. When the double-layer roaster is used as a roster, however, the food put on the grill is cooked by indirect application of the cooking heat. That is, the food is steamed by moisture rather than being actually roasted by the direct touch of the flame. As a result, a roasted taste of the food cannot be obtained. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[7] Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a multi-layer cooker capable of functioning as both a broiler and a barbecue roaster.
[8] It is another object of the present invention to provide a multi-layer cooker capable of restraining a food being cooked from burning or getting soot, and also capable of achieving the effect of a steam cooker when used as the roaster by supplying a cooking heat to an opening formed at an upper part thereof. Technical Solution
[9] In accordance with the present invention, the above and other objects can be accomplished by the provision of a multi-layer cooker comprising a pan including a plurality of heat holes arranged around the center of a bottom of the pan, and a fuel jet wall formed on the bottom of the pan at a position outer than the heat holes, a grill removably mounted to an inside of the pan, including a plurality of heat holes arranged alternately with the heat holes of the pan, and a roasting pot removably mounted at an upper part of the grill. Brief Description of the Drawings

[15] FIG. 5 is a sectional view showing an example of a used state of the multi-layer cooker according to the embodiment of the present invention;
[16] FIG. 6 is a sectional view showing another example of the used state of the multilayer cooker according to the embodiment of the present invention; and
[17] FIG. 7 is a sectional view of a double-layer cooker according to a conventional art.
Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[18] Hereinafter, an exemplary embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[19] FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a multi-layer cooker according to an embodiment of the present invention and FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the multilayer cooker. FIG. 3 is a sectional view taken along a line A-A of FIG. 2 and FIG. 4 is a sectional view taken along a line B-B of FIG. 2. FIG. 5 is a sectional view showing an exemplary used state of the multi-layer cooker according to the embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 6 is a sectional view showing another used state of the multilayer cooker.
[20] Referring to the drawings, a multi-layer cooker according to the embodiment of the present invention comprises a pan 1, a grill 2, and a roasting pot 3.
[21] The grill 2 and the roasting pot 3 may be removably mounted inside the pan 1.
[22] As shown in FIG. 1, the pan 1 has a container form holding a predetermined space.
[23] The pan 1 includes a plurality of heat holes Ia arranged around the center of a bottom thereof. A fuel jet wall 10 is formed on the bottom of the pan 1, being disposed outer than the heat holes Ia, so as to guide a flame of a heating device.
[24] Therefore, a flame generated from the heating device (not shown) to supply a cooking heat to a food being cooked is transmitted to the bottom of the pan 1 through a fuel jet surrounded by the fuel jet wall 10. At the same time, part of the flame is moved upward through the heat hole Ia.
[25] A gutter Ib may be further formed along a circumference of the bottom of the pan 1 so that water or oil draining from the food being cooked on the grill 2 disposed above the pan 1 can be collected in the gutter Ib.
[26] As shown in the drawings, the grill 2 is a cooking member having a plate form.
Being removably mounted to the inside of the pan 1, the grill 2 usually cooks a food to be broiled.
[27] In other words, the grill 2 refers to a broiler plate including a plurality of heat holes
2a.
[28] As shown in FIG. 1, FIG. 3 and FIG. 5, the heat holes 2a formed at the grill 2 are arranged at alternate positions with the heat holes Ia of the pan 1.
[29] In the grill 2, a central portion is raised to be higher than a circumference to put and cook the food thereon. The circumference has a drain groove 2b to collect therein moisture, gravy or soup generated from the food being cooked.
[30] Additionally, a drain hole 2c is formed at certain positions on the drain groove 2b to discharge the collected water or oil, such that the discharged water or oil can be collected in the gutter Ib of the pan 1.
[31] Since the heat holes 2a of the grill 2 and the heat holes Ia of the pan 1 are thus disposed alternately with each other, the flame can be prevented from directly contacting the food being cooked.
[32] The roasting pot 3 removably mounted at an upper part of the grill 2 is used for barbecuing. In order to prevent juice of meat from flowing out during the barbecuing, the roasting pot3 is formed with a raised rim along a circumference thereof.
[33] By thus having the raised rim, the roasting pot 3 can also function as a cook-pot. That is, the roasting pot 3 does not have any opening at a bottom thereof while having a predetermined depth enough for holding therein certain food including soup. [34] In addition, the roasting pot 3 further includes a soup collecting groove 3a formed along a circumference of the bottom such that soup draining from the food being cooked on the center of the bottom can be collected in the soup collecting groove 3a.
[35] Inside the pan 1 of the above-structured cooker, a plurality of grill supporting projections 12 are formed as shown in FIG. 1. Correspondingly, pan connecting recesses 21 are formed on the grill 2 to face the grill supporting projections 12.
[36] The pan 1 further includes pot supporting projections 13 for supporting the roasting pot 3. The pot supporting projections 13 have proper heights such that the grill 2 can be mounted between the roasting pot 3 and the pan 1.
[37] Furthermore, the grill 2 and the roasting pot 3 are formed with sticking prevention prominences 2d and 3b, respectively, that prevent the food being cooked from sticking to the bottoms thereof.
[38] During broiling or roasting of food using the multi-layer cooker, the food may be scorched and therefore stick to an upper surface of the grill 2 or roasting pot 3. To this end, the sticking prevention prominences 2d and 3b are provided to keep the food being cooked apart from the upper surfaces of the grill 2 and the roasting pot 3.
[39] The multi-layer cooker according to the embodiment of the present invention may be used without a lid during cooking. However, when used as a roaster or a cook-pot, the multi-layer cooker needs a dedicated lid.
[40] Accordingly, the lid 4 is removably mounted to an upper part of the pan 1. A handle
41 is mounted to the lid 4.
Industrial Applicability
[41] As apparent from the above description, the present invention provides a multi-layer cooker structured to form multiple layers so as to be used as both a broiler or a barbecue roaster. Therefore, various types of cooking can be performed with the multilayer cooker.
[42] Especially, when the multi-layer cooker is used as the roaster, since a flame does not directly touch a food being cooked, the food can be protected from being burned or sooted. Also, since being cooked by a grill heated by an indirectly applied heat, the food can be more evenly cooked without partially getting burned.
[43] Moreover, while the multi-layer cooker is being used as the roaster, the heat can be transmitted not only to a bottom but also to an opening formed at an upper part of the multi-layer cooker. Accordingly, the multi-layer cooker can function as a steam cooker as well.
[44] Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.
