Abstract

 熱電変換モジュール10は、低温側に配置される第1の電極部材13と、高温側に配置される第2の電極部材14と、これらの間に配置され、かつ第1および第2の電極部材13、14の双方に電気的に接続されたp型およびn型熱電素子11、12とを具備する。熱電素子11、12はMgAgAs型結晶構造を有する金属間化合物を主相とする熱電材料(ハーフホイスラー材料)からなり、かつ1.3MPa・m1/2以上10MPa・m1/2未満の破壊靱性値K1Cを有する。
