Abstract

 圧電素子が弾性限界を超えて変形して破損することを防止する。  超音波アクチュエータ(2)は、アクチュエータ本体(4)と、ケース(5)と、支持ユニット(6)とを備えている。支持ユニット(6)は、ケース(5)とアクチュエータ本体(4)との間に配設されてアクチュエータ本体(4)の振動の非ノード部においてアクチュエータ本体(4)に対して縦振動の振動方向へ両側から圧縮力を予め付与する2つの支持ゴム(61,61)及び連結ゴム(63)を有している。連結ゴム(63)は、中央部(64a,64a)及び両端部(64b,64b)と中央部(64a,64a)及び両端部(64b,64b)よりも剛性が低い薄肉部(67,67,…)とを有している。予圧ユニット(6)は、ケース(5)とアクチュエータ本体(4)との間に配設されるときには、少なくとも連結ゴム(63)が薄肉部(67,67,…)において圧縮変形している。
