Abstract

L'invention vise à résoudre les difficultés d'un dispositif d'affichage de type à mouvement de particules dans la direction latérale classique par rapport à la transmittance, le contraste, la tension de commande et la vitesse de réponse à l'état lumineux. À cet effet, un dispositif d'affichage comporte une paire de substrats qui maintiennent un système de dispersion dans lequel de fines particules sont dispersées pour former des cellules. Un état de dispersion de fines particules dans les cellules dans la direction verticale par rapport aux substrats est réglé à un état de blocage optique. Le dispositif d'affichage est caractérisé par une structure telle que les fines particules sont déposées (1) à la fois sur les faces de surface inférieure et supérieure d'une électrode de commande de type réseau ou (2) à la fois sur les surfaces latérales d'une surface principale d'une électrode de commande de type plaque disposée verticalement sur le substrat. Ce dispositif d'affichage permet à des affichages monochromes ou en couleurs à transmittance élevée, à contraste élevé et à faible tension de commande d'avoir une épaisseur réduite, un poids léger et une vitesse élevée, de telle sorte qu'il peut être appliqué à une diversité de produits tel qu'un dispositif de modulation optique à super haute résolution, un afficheur d'équipement portable, un papier électronique de qualité d'image élevée, un moniteur de grande dimension, une télévision de grande dimension, un afficheur public d'ultra grande dimension.
