Abstract

　車幅方向に並んだ二つのシートを有する車両（２０）の側面衝突時に、衝突反対側のシート（２２Ｌ，２２Ｒ）に着座した乗員（Ｐ１０，Ｐ１１）が衝突側に移動するのを規制するエアバッグ（１１）で、エアバッグ（１１）は、最大膨張状態の車両前方から見た輪郭形状が、シートバック（２５Ｌ，２３Ｒ）の肩部相当高さ以上の部分を成し乗員（Ｐ１０，Ｐ１１）の首部や頭部等を保護するエアバッグ上部（１１Ｕ）と、シートバック（２５Ｌ，２３Ｒ）の肩部相当高さ以下の部分を成し乗員（Ｐ１０，Ｐ１１）の肩部や腕部等を保護するエアバッグ下部（１１Ｄ）と、を有し、エアバッグ（１１）全体として乗員（Ｐ１０，Ｐ１１）の車幅方向における内側の輪郭を象るような形状に構成した。
