Abstract

The method for providing services in a wireless communication system comprises: a step wherein a QoS (Quality of Service) request message that indicates the quality of the service required for the service to be provided is transmitted to a base station; a step wherein a QoS response message that indicates the service quality that said base station can provide is received in response to said QoS request message; a step wherein it is determined whether a service is to be provided depending upon the service quality that said base station can provide; and a step wherein either a service acceptance message or a service refusal message is transmitted depending upon said decision. A femto cell presents an available service quality to a terminal that requests access depending upon the wireless resource status, and allows the terminal to decide whether to access the femto cell, so that unnecessary terminal access may be prevented and the quality of communication service may be enhanced.
