Abstract
The invention relates to engine construction. The rotary engine comprises a housing containing a rotary compression section and rotary power sections. Rotatable cylindrical rotors with blades are disposed in each of the sections. Cylindrical hollow seats with shutoff cylinders disposed therein are arranged symmetrically about the circumference of the inside surface of the housing. The outside surface of the rotor, the inside surface of the housing, the surfaces of the rotor blades and the surfaces of the shutoff cylinders form "expansion" and "compression" segments. There are two rotary power rotor sections to one rotary compression section. The rotary compression section is disposed between the two rotary power sections in such a way that one face of each of the two rotary power sections abuts each of the two faces of the compression section. The rotors of the rotary power sections are provided with combustion chambers. The operating method of the rotary engine consists in "intake" and "compression" strokes in the rotary compression section, and "expansion" and "exhaust" strokes in the rotary power section. Prior to an "expansion" stroke, a process of "formation of a high-pressure working medium" takes place in a combustion chamber separate from the expansion segment. The aim of the invention is to enhance the efficiency of the engine.
