Definitions
- the present invention relates to a smart lifeguard swimwear.
- the invention especially relates to a life-saving bathing garment to prevent drowning which includes an inflation system and a danger situation detection system.
- Lifeguards are usually presented as garments or floating elements such as inflatable bands, vests, annular flotation elements, etc.
- these garments or elements are only used in case of an emergency and not as a prevention, in addition it is sometimes necessary to carry the inflated device at all times, being uncomfortable for the user and limiting the possibilities of use.
- Various inflatable life-saving devices whose configuration or design is more ergonomic and easy to carry while doing water activities are known from the state of the art.
- the utility model ES1077354U refers to a lifeguard device for swimmers that is structured from a band adjustable to the torso of the swimmer, of reduced thickness, made of lightweight, elastic and adjustable material such as neoprene or similar, which allows full mobility of the arms when swimming and comprising a float that unfolds in case of emergency or need.
- ES11 14156U refers to an inflatable lifeguard for sports swimming, allowing sufficient freedom of movement for swimming and that can be hidden or covered by a garment, such so that when the appearance of the invention is deflated, it is that of an ordinary bathing garment, of which they cover the trunk of the user, such as a swimsuit and that when it is found swollen, allow the exercise of swimming with total freedom of movement and maintain a hydrodynamic design providing buoyancy to users.
- US7937770B1 and US6058507A patents describe models of swimwear for men and women, respectively, which include one or more inflatable air chambers attached to the garments.
- this type of swimwear has the disadvantage that they need to be activated by the user manually, so, although they increase the buoyancy of the user, in case of accident or emergency and state of unconsciousness of the user, the device will not be activated.
- these devices do not provide flotation in a horizontal position and face up (supine position), nor do they guarantee that their airways are above the water.
- the present invention solves the problems existing in the state of the art by means of an intelligent lifeguard.
- the smart lifeguard swimsuit allows, if necessary, the user to float in a horizontal position and with the mouth and nose out of the water (supine position), even when the user is unconscious, thanks to the provision of the air chamber and its automatic choking detection and activation system.
- Horizontal flotation provides great advantages, since it decreases the action of hydrostatic pressure on the legs and also causes most of the body to be close to the surface, where water is normally less cold, so the loss or attenuation of the loss of body heat. Therefore, the possibilities of survival of the user, if the rescue is delayed in time.
- the swimsuit is compatible with elastic fabrics (lycra or neoprene) that cover at least the trunk, neck and thighs, the risk of hypothermia and also the risk of sunburn, which can occur due to prolonged exposure to the sun, during training, water activity or bathing.
- elastic fabrics lycra or neoprene
- the smart lifeguard swimsuit comprises:
- the compressed air bottle, the valves and the electronic receiver are arranged in a pocket of the garment.
- the air chamber and the air bottle are connected by a connection tube, which helps to inflate the air chamber in case of activation.
- the control unit contains an accelerometer, central processing unit (CPU), to process the data entered and received, a rechargeable battery and a signal emission sensor, for sending information to the electronic receiver located in the pocket of the garment of bath.
- This unit is in a control bracelet that has a screen and buttons for activation, deactivation and input of parameters.
- the accelerometer records the user's movements, filtering the data due to the water oscillations, and detects the absence of movement of an unconscious person.
- an alarm signal is sent to the user, which, if not deactivated by means of the deactivation button provided in said bracelet or by restarting the swim , will activate the swelling system of the bathroom garment.
- the accelerometer data is stored at all times and may be downloadable, as well as the alarms recorded.
- the smart lifeguard has two emergency lights for the user to be visually located in case of emergency.
- Figure 1 is a schematic illustration of the smart lifeguard swimwear.
- Figure 2 is an illustration of the inflation system.
- Figure 3 is a schematic illustration of the control bracelet.
- the object of the present invention is an intelligent swimwear (1).
- the bathroom garment (1) includes a zipper (3) to put it on more easily, two emergency lights (4) with electronic receivers, one on each side of the zipper on the part top of the garment, a pocket (5) containing a removable electronic receiver (7) and a bottle (6) of compressed air that is connected by a tube (8) to an air chamber (2), which It is arranged along the front of the garment (1) and around the back of the neck, being attached to said garment by any suitable means.
- the air chamber (2) has larger dimensions in one of the parts, since in this way it allows the body to never float upside down (prone position), since the greater buoyant force of one of the sides of the chamber of air causes the body to rotate on its longitudinal axis, until it is placed on its back, even when it is unconscious.
- a manual drain valve (9) that can be used by the user to extract the air from the air chamber (2) for reuse or in case the filling has been caused by a situation detection failure of danger from the system.
- the removable electronic receiver (7) contains a communications receiver and a rechargeable battery, connected wirelessly with a control bracelet (13) arranged on one of the user's extremities.
- Figure 2 shows an inflation system comprising an air bottle (6) compressed, which is attached to the air chamber (2) by a connecting tube (8) and two filling valves, a manual valve (10) and another electronic valve (1 1), the latter controlled by a receiver electronic (7) removable. Said valves are connected by a fitting (12) to the bottle (6) of compressed air.
- a fitting is defined as a metal part with or without threads in the opposite direction, which serves to join pipes.
- FIG. 1 shows the control bracelet (13) comprising:
- control unit (14) containing an accelerometer, central processing unit (CPU), to process the data entered and received, a rechargeable battery and a signal emission sensor, for sending information to the electronic receiver (7 ) located in the pocket (5) of the bathroom garment (1).
- CPU central processing unit
- the emitters of signals located in the control bracelet (13) and the receivers located in the electronic receiver (7) of the bathing garment (1), are connected at all times, when starting the activity in the water.
- the accelerometer records the user's movements, filtering the data due to the water's own oscillations, characterized by presenting a non-cyclic trajectory and a low repetition frequency. These movements may be swimming or non-swimming, such as those that can occur in professional and / or leisure activities in the water.
- swimming movements are characterized by having a cyclic trajectory (or closed path) and a high repetition frequency as a function of time, while non-swimming movements are characterized by a low or zero repetition frequency of movements as a function of time.
- an alarm signal is sent to the user, which if not deactivated by means of the deactivation button (16) provided in said bracelet or the restart of the swim , will activate the inflation system of the bathroom garment (1).
- the accelerometer data is stored at all times and may be downloadable, as well as the alarms recorded.
- the unit of measure processed will be movements per second.
- the alarms or the situations that cause them, can be parameterized by the user depending on their criteria and the characteristics of the activity and environment in which it is carried out.
