Definitions
- the product of the present invention relates to a tool for preventing biting that is optimal for retaining a dog's temporomandibular joint.
- the conventional muzzle was difficult to attach to dogs with strong temper. Therefore, when treating dogs that bite, they have relied on methods to prevent biting by administering sedative anesthetics to dogs. Injecting a sedative anesthetic into a dog and sedating it is a common measure in the pet service industry.
- muzzles have been used to prevent dogs from biting.
- a muzzle whose size can be adjusted with a belt attached to a heel is proposed and disclosed in the size of a dog's snout.
- Patent Document 2 there is a muzzle for controlling behavior using a can in which a dog collar and a lead are connected to a belt fastened to a dog's snout.
- the aspect of the biting prevention device is mainly a towel-like cloth having a width covering the entire lower jaw of the dog and a length covering the entire head excluding the nose. Moreover, it is set as the structure to which the string and a pair of cover which adjust to the length of the jaw according to the individual
- a technique for shortening the cloth using a string there is a method in which a plurality of loops are installed in the cloth and the string is passed. There is also a method of forming a gather by making a plurality of holes in a fabric and passing a string therethrough.
- the belt for an extension which keeps the distance from a dog's jaw to a retainer's hand is attached to the both ends of cloth.
- the distance from the retainer to the dog, which is adjusted by the belt, is the length from the dog's chin to the shoulder.
- a holding belt having a buckle as a fastening portion is connected to the tip.
- the connecting portion of the belt takes a form in which one of the cloths is directly sewn to the cloth and the other cloth is fastened using a hook (snap button).
- a hook sewn button
- both the cloths can be connected and detached by using a hook to connect the belt.
- the buckle used for a fastening part uses the type which can adjust the length of a belt steplessly so that it can respond to the size around the neck of the dog according to the individual.
- ⁇ Belts are attached to both ends of the towel-like cloth to extend the length of the cloth.
- the belt takes a form that can be removed, for example, through a plurality of holes at both ends of the towel or by hooking the towel. Or the form which sews the both ends of a belt directly to cloth is also considered.
- the joint that is created by overlapping the center left and right of the cloth is composed of a pair of hook-and-loop fasteners and is located on the forehead from the nose bridge.
- a string for tying is installed at the upper end of the towel-like cloth, and a plurality of hooks are added at the center of the cloth.
- the temporomandibular joint is securely held by alternately placing the string on the hook and tightening the entire jaw of the dog.
- the retainer grasps the belts at both ends attached to the towel-like cloth, which is the product of the present invention, with the left and right hands, and forms a U shape. Stand the dog on its hind limbs and place the forelimbs on the wall to fix the posture. From the back of the dog, hook a towel-like cloth through the chin. Cross the arms, tighten the dog's chin with a cloth, and fasten the belt at the back of the head. As a result, the entire head excluding the dog's nose is covered with the cloth. Since the product of the present invention blocks the visual field of the dog, the action of the moving body vision can be suppressed. Since a towel-like cloth with a length from the dog's jaw to the retainer's hand is used, there is little risk of the retainer being bitten. The procedure can quickly seal the movement of the dog's temporomandibular joint.
- a pair of hook-and-loop fasteners are attached so as to be bonded from the nose bridge with a forehead.
- the shape of the hook-and-loop fastener is trapezoidal or triangular, and the angle is deepened so that the thickness of the snout can be adjusted according to the individual.
- the area to be bonded is widened, and it is possible to cope with a dog breed (buldock) having a short chin and a large snout.
- the product of the present invention has the following effects and advantages. (1) By adjusting the width of the towel-like cloth freely and wrapping it around the head centered on the dog's chin, it is possible to cope with various chin forms of dog breeds. Also, the size can be adjusted according to the individual. (2) A belt is attached to both ends of the towel-like cloth and extended to maintain the distance from the dog and reduce the risk of the retainer biting. (3) The movement of the dog's temporomandibular joint can be quickly sealed by a technique using a long towel-like cloth. (4) The dog is not aggressive because it is held from the back of the dog. Since the defenders do not confront the dogs, there is little stress on each other.
- the towel-like cloth covers the entire head except for the dog's nose, so it has the effect of blindfolding. Dogs lose their dynamic vision and are less excited about their surroundings. This facilitates the care of the dog's body including nail clippers and medical treatment.

- a plurality of hooks 3 are attached to the center of the towel-like cloth 2, and the chin straps 4 are alternately tightened and fastened when worn to hold the entire jaw.
- the cord 4 may have a configuration in which cord stoppers 5 are attached to the left and right to hold the length of the tightly bound cord.
- the material of the string 4 is suitably strong nylon.
- the holding belt 6 has a snap button 13 as a connecting portion with a cloth, and a buckle 12 as a fastening portion at the tip. Further, at both ends of the towel-like cloth 2, there are belts 7 extending the length of the cloth.
- a string 9 passing under the pair of covers 10 is installed in the center of the towel-like cloth 2.
- the string 9 has a cord stopper 5 on the left and right, and can be configured to hold the tightened length.
- a pad 11 is installed on the upper end of the towel-like cloth 2. As a result, a space is created at the time of wearing, so that the nose is pulled out from the cloth to prevent suffocation.
- the pad 11 also serves as a cover for the string 4 and the string 4 passes below.
- the material of the pad 11 is acrylic, and a Burberry shoulder tape is suitable.
- FIG. 2 is a view showing a method of using the towel-like cloth (FIG. 1) which is the product of the present invention.
- the retainer attaches the lead and harness to the dog, holds the lead short, and lifts the upper body of the dog. Stand the dog on its hind limbs, hold the forelimbs against the wall, and fix the posture.
- the retainer stands on the back of the dog, grasps the belt on the left and right sides of the towel-like cloth in both hands, and makes a U-shape. Pass the towel-like cloth around the dog's chin, cross the left and right arms, and wrap it around the chin.
- the towel-like cloth goes around the jaw, and the portion where the cloth on the forehead overlaps from the nose bridge of the dog is bonded by the surface fastener 8.
- a towel-like cloth is crossed at the back of the dog and fastened with a holding belt.
- the towel-like cloth is wound around the entire head of the dog for at least one turn, and the jaw and the head are tightened into an 8-shape.
- FIG. 3 is a view showing a state in which a dog is equipped with the biting prevention tool according to the present invention.
- a towel-like cloth covers the entire head except the dog's nose, and shows a state where the towel-like cloth is adhered to the nasal bridge with the hook-and-loop fastener 8. Further, the entire jaw is tightened and held by the string 4 hooked on the hook 3, and is fastened from the back of the head to the neck by the belt 6.
- the towel-like cloth has a length that can be tightened with the dog's chin and head shaped like a figure 8, and has a width that covers the entire lower jaw.
- the style in which the cloth is ligated in a figure-eight shape has a strong binding force because the force exerted by the dog on the lower forehead is suppressed even at the back of the head.
- a pad is attached to the cloth in contact with the dog's nose to create a space when worn, and the nose is taken out from the cloth.
- the dog's eyes are covered with a cloth, so it is not sensitive to surrounding movements. Excitement is suppressed and various treatments become easy.
- the product of the present invention there is little risk of the retainer being bitten by the dog, and the dog's temporomandibular joint can be quickly retained. Since it is not necessary to administer a sedative anesthetic, there is no burden on the dog's body and there is no cost. Since the retainers do not confront the dogs, there is little stress on each other and this is a safe method of retaining. In addition, because it is blindfolded, the dog does not react sensitively to surrounding movements. This facilitates the care and medical treatment of the dog's body and contributes to the improvement of breeding management.
- the product of the present invention can be applied not only to dogs but also to other animals.
- a towel-like cloth with adjustable width is wrapped around the head around the animal's chin, so it doesn't matter what form or size it is. Therefore, it can correspond to all animals. Expected to be used in wildlife ecological observations and zoos.

Abstract
