Definitions
- the invention refers to a mount for attaching a flashlight to binoculars that provides, to the function to which it is intended, advantages and novelty features that will be described in detail below.
- the object of the present invention lies in a mount applicable for attachment as a detachable accessory to binoculars in order to provide a means for the eventual incorporation of a flashlight on them, in order to facilitate nighttime use.
- the field of application of the present invention is part of the industry sector dedicated to the manufacture of optical devices, devices and devices, particularly focusing on the field of binoculars.
- the problem that the present invention solves is based on the need detected during night observation with binoculars.
- binoculars allow a large image increase, being the most comfortable way to observe objects at a distance, especially when they are in motion;
- the mount for attaching a flashlight to binoculars that the invention proposes is thus configured as a remarkable novelty within its field of application, since in accordance with its implementation the aforementioned objectives are satisfactorily achieved, the characterizing details making it possible and that they are conveniently distinguished in the final claims that accompany the present description.
- a mount for attaching a flashlight to binoculars whose structure is designed as an attachable accessory to allow the incorporation of a flashlight to the binoculars, in order to facilitate nighttime use.
- the mount has a structure suitable for attaching to the binoculars housing, preferably to one of the two visors it comprises, and which has a support in which, in turn, a flashlight, preferably a flashlight, can be fixed long-range, also allowing to move it to focus the beam of light precisely, all the elements being designed so that the assembly of the same to the binoculars can be done in a manual way, in order to avoid the need to use tools
- the mount essentially comprises three main parts: some clamps, a support base and a support bracket for the flashlight.
- the clamps are two and both are attached to the housing of one of the lenses, on the front, near the lens, one in front of the other.
- Both clamps are composed of two halves covered internally with a foam surface, so as not to cause damage to said housing and improve the grip, said halves being joined, on the one hand, by sheets with rivets that act as hinges, which allows the opening of the same to place them on the prismatic and, later, to fix them, by the opposite side, by means of a screw of manual tightening.
- one of these clamps preferably the one located at the back, has a captive screw in its upper part to fix the clamping base, while the other clamp, the front, has a support with holes in said part higher.
- the clamping base is configured from an elongated piece or "ingot" with several threaded holes, which cross it vertically, where the screw of the upper part of the rear clamp is threaded inferiorly, to fix this base, and superiorly those of the lantern support bracket, and with a transverse front hole, on which a hand-tightening screw with spring and blind nut is mounted, crossing the support with holes in the front clamp.
- the support for holding the flashlight comprises two facing pieces that define two semiaros respectively, also configured as a clamp, also equipped with inner foam surface, which extend inferiorly in two straight sections that join together , by means of a manual tightening screw, to adjust to the size of the flashlight, one of them with a concave coupling piece with manual tightening screws, to be fixed to the base ingot, adapting to the curvature of the upper part of the same, inserted in the vertical holes of the latter, allowing its placement more or less near the anterior end, as appropriate.
- the described mount for attaching a flashlight to binoculars therefore, consists of a innovative structure of unknown characteristics so far for the purpose it is intended, reasons that together with its practical utility, provide it with sufficient grounds to obtain the privilege of exclusivity that is requested. DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
- Figure number 1 Shows a perspective view of an embodiment of the mount for attaching a flashlight to binoculars object of the invention, appreciating the parts and elements it comprises, as well as its configuration and arrangement;
- Figure 2 shows a perspective view of the two clamps provided in the frame of the invention, the configuration and parts thereof being appreciated;
- Figure number 3. Shows a perspective view of the fixing base, its parts and elements being appreciated;
- Figure number 4. Shows a perspective view of the support for the flashlight, represented with some of its parts removed, for easy observation; and Figures 5 and 6. - They show paths, in lateral and frontal perspective respectively, of binoculars with the mount of the invention coupled to them, presenting of Figure 6 with the flashlight incorporated therein, the coupling mode being appreciated and its use.
- the mount (1) of the invention essentially comprises one or more clamps (2, 2 '), attachable to the binoculars (3), a fastening base (4), attachable to said clamps (2, 2 ') with adjustable position and orientation, and to which, in turn, means are attached to hold a flashlight (6), preferably consisting of a support bracket (5) but which, Optionally, they may consist of a magnetic accessory.
- the mount (1) comprises two clamps, one front (2) and one rear (2 ') suitable for coupling both in one of the objectives of the binoculars (3), each being shaped by two halves (2a) covered internally with a foam surface (7), being joined, on the one hand, by sheets (8) with rivets (9), and on the opposite side, by screws with a hand tightening head (10), as seen in figure 2.
- the rear clamp (2 ') has, in its upper part, a captive screw also with a manual tightening head (10) to fix said base (4) on its lower part
- the anterior clamp (2) has, on its upper part, a support surface (1 1) and an lug (12) for fixing said base (4) on its anterior part, jointly allowing to regulate their relative position.
- the clamping base (4) as seen in Figure 3, comprises an ingot (13), consisting of a long and narrow piece preferably of aluminum and rounded upper surface, with several threaded holes (14) aligned to along its longitudinal axis, which cross it vertically, to fix the rear clamp (2 ') where appropriate, through its manual clamping screw (9) through the bottom of the ingot (13), and which can be threaded into any of them, and to fix the support (5) of the flashlight (6) at the top, and with a transverse front hole (15) near its front end, on which another one is mounted screw with hand tightening head (10) with a spring (16) and a blind nut (17), through the lug (12) of the upper part of the front clamp (2).
- This set allows the horizontal adjustment of the position of the ingot with great precision, to regulate the orientation of the ingot and, consequently, of the light beam of the flashlight (6).
- the support bracket (5) for the flashlight (6) comprises two facing pieces, one fixed (18) and another mobile (19), which define respective semiaros, provided internally with foam surface ( 7), to embrace the lantern (6) adjusting to its diameter, which extends each piece 18, 19, inferiorly in respective straight sections, joining both pieces to each other, by means of a fourth screw with manual tightening head (10) which crosses respective threaded holes (14) facing and provided for that purpose in said straight sections.
- This support bracket (5) also has a concave coupling plate (20) attached to the lower end of the straight section of the fixed part (18), fitted with two mounting screws, to be attached to the support base (4). hand tighten (10) suitable for threading into the threaded holes (14) of the ingot (13), allowing to regulate its placement.
- the concave shape of this plate (20) adapts to the curved shape of the upper surface of the ingot (13).
- the mount (1) incorporates a magnetic sheet (not shown) adhered to the upper face of the ingot (13) of the clamping base (4), which gives it magnetic properties without adding excess weight, allowing the possibility of replacing the support bracket (5) by other means of attachment, such as a magnetic type accessory already existing in the market, for example the magnetic accessory for Olight.® brand rifles Sufficiently describes the nature of the present invention, as well as the way to put it into practice, it is not considered necessary to extend its explanation so that any expert in the field understands its scope and the advantages that derive from it, stating that, within its essentiality, it can be put into practice in other embodiments that differ in detail from that indicated by way of example, and which will also achieve the protection that is sought as long as it is not altered, change or modify its fundamental principle.
