Description

RECLOSABLE PACKAGE HAVING DOUBLE OPENING STRUCTURES
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a reclosable package for holding stacked absorbent articles. The absorbent articles, which are hygiene articles that can absorb body liquids or feces, are to be packaged in carefully. The absorbent articles may be diapers, sanitary napkins, pants, pull ups, incontinence articles or pads. The package of the stacked absorbent articles has double opening structures.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The hygienic absorbent articles are packed in packages which are adapted to hold a stack of absorbent articles.
The absorbent articles are sold in packages in different varieties. The packages may be formed of polymer film or paper board. Such packages can be in various sizes depending on the containing plurality of absorbent articles.
Absorbent articles such as sanitary napkins or panty liners have been marketed generally in polymer film packages. The sanitary napkin article is generally in a form of individually packaged absorbent article obtained by packaging the absorbent article in the folded state into a predetermined shape. Such an individually packaged absorbent article is marketed in the packaged state and generally preserved in a flexible bag formed of a polymer film.
Users often carry the package with, but they care about the hygiene of carrying the absorbent articles. Since, the articles oftenly spills around, they desire the packages to have reclosable fuction.
In addition, within the package, the absorbent articles may be damaged when an external force is applied thereto during storage and transportation thereof. The individually packaged absorbent articles in the packaging bag may be deformed due to the external force applied to the bag.
People tried to overcome above mentioned problems. For that reason, line of perforations are used in the packaging film which circumscribs partially or entirely one side of the package, to facilitate opening of the package. But in that case, when the diaper package is opened once, it can not be reclosed.
JP04532154 relates to a diaper packaging body having slip resistant strips attached to the front and back end edges are in contact with and releasably engaged with each other. The application provides a solution about preventing the shape of the diapers in the package. Therefore, anti-slip sheet is mounted on front and rear ends of the closure. But the closure is not very effective to hold the diapers together in their desired shape. Because there still remains free spaces in tha package that allows moving of the diapers freely. And as a consequence the shapes of the diapers may not be protected and the folding may be deformed.
US9393161 relates to a package containing disposable diapers having reclosable zip-lock components and a handle cut. This application enables the package to be recloseable compressed in stacks that are roughly block-shaped, which are then enclosed in retail packages formed of polymer film. But when the packages are transported or placed on the market shelfs they can be deformed in the single zip- locked package. Because there will be again free spaces that will allow freely moving of the articles.
The problems relating to packaging of hygienic articles has not been solved efficiently. There is a need to overcome above mentioned problems about packaging of absorbent articles. The present invention is designated to overcome mentioned problems above.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
A new package is invented to overcome above mentioned problems. With the present application the problem is solved with a package having both of the functions. The package has perforated opening function that allows protecting the shape of the compressed absorbent articles in a closed package, and also has zip- lock opening function to obtain a recloseable package.
Thus, a new package (1 ) is invented in the present application in which a plurality of individually packaged absorbent articles are packed in a polymer film package. The polymer film package has two opening parts on the top end edge (2) with a perforation having opening function and a reclosable zip-lock structure having opening and closing functions. The determined shape of the absorbent articles in the package is protected well when they are on the market shelfs and on transporting lines to be carried and after buying by users.
According to the present invention, deformation of the individually packaged absorbent articles due to an external force applied to the package can be prevented. Since the top end edge (2) of the package (1 ) has two opening parts, the absorbent article can be packed securely without opening and the shape of the absorbent article is preserved without any damages. Moreover, when the package of the absorbent article once opened from the zip opening and perforated opening parts, the user can reclose it from the zip closing part.
The present invention provides a package (1 ) for absorbent articles for personal hygiene as indicated in the following embodiments. The present invention describes a package for absorbent articles having a predetermined shape to be protected. An object of the present invention is to provide a package (1 ) for absorbent articles to preserve the folded shape of the articles.
Another object of the present invention is providing a solution to the problem of carrying along the opened package of the absorbent articles by providing a reclosable zip-lock opening (1 0) structure.
In the present invention, the package for absorbent articles is formed of a polymer film structure comprising at least one layer of polyethylene and/or polypropylene.
In the present invention, the package for absorbent articles is in the form of enclosed container having an inside volume to pack the absorbent articles in predetermined shape. In the present invention, the enclosed container has a bottom end edge (4), a top end edge (2) and side walls (6). The bottom end edge (4) and side wall (6) end edges are welded to join and form a bag shape enclosed container. The top end edge (2) has two openings; the first one is reclosable zip-lock opening (10) and the secong one is perforated opening (8).
In the present invention, the first reclosable zip-lock opening (10) is formed of a pair of oppositely aligned engeable parts, that engages to be fastened and opened more than once. The engeable parts of the reclosable zip-lock opening (10) is formed from an extruded polymer structure such as; polyethylene.
In the present invention, the second perforated opening (8) is placed under the first reclosable zip-lock opening (10) that covers the top end portion of the enclosed container. In the present invention, the package (1 ) is usefull for storing absorbent articles such as; sanitary napkins or panty liners which can be singly wraped with a additional sheet to protect it when not in use.
