More particularly, the present application involves a fixture that includes ramped elements that are statically positioned in the fixture and are engaged by moving spokes that in turn are pre-tensioned by the ramped elements and aligned into receiving portions of the hub of the non-pneumatic tire.
- Non-pneumatic tires are those that do not require air. These tires instead feature a hub that is mounted onto a wheel of a vehicle, and a series of spokes that extend radially outward from the hub.

However, when large numbers of spokes are used manufacturing problems arise. Abstract
L'invention concerne un appareil d'assemblage d'un pneu non pneumatique qui comprend une pluralité d'éléments inclinés qui présentent chacun une surface inclinée orientée selon un angle par rapport à une direction longitudinale. L'invention concerne également un moyeu qui comprend une pluralité d'éléments de réception, une bande de cisaillement et une pluralité de rayons qui sont fixés à la bande de cisaillement qui sont espacés de l'axe central dans une direction radiale. Les rayons comprennent chacun un corps qui est disposé entre une extrémité radiale vers l'extérieur du rayon et une extrémité radiale vers l'intérieur du rayon. Un mouvement des rayons par rapport aux éléments inclinés dans la direction longitudinale amène les rayons à entrer en prise avec les surfaces inclinées et à être allongés dans la direction radiale, et les extrémités radiales vers l'intérieur des rayons à être reçues par les éléments de réception.
