The Finanx 12c is a free software that mimics the HP-12C financial calculator. This software was developed for educational purposes. The toolkit glpk supports methods for mixed integer linear programming (MILP). These methods solve Capital Budgeting Problems (CBP). Unfortunately, glpk does not support any multithreading and there is no feature to distribute problems via network connections. Today, this is a pitiable sight, because modern computer systems are coupled by networks and support multi threading. We create a distributed system with Apache thrift and the C-API of glpk. Now, it is possible to use as many cores in a network as you want. With a focus on the MILP methods we implement a load balancing and speed up the solving process in a multiplicative way. Sometimes we have super-linear speedup with a small set of hardware. With a splitting of problems, parallel computing and distributing the actual best solution to all running processes we solve CBP much faster than a sequential processing can do.

This project should combine a financial mathematics library with an underlying financial market database (and a set of other tools), which could be used by financial institutions for their financial market data needs as well as by students for research works.

Haircut is the amount of margin money deducted while pledging the Equites/ Mutual Funds / Bonds for trading. A haircut value of 13% means that, if a share worth of Rs 100 is pledged for trading, then Rs. 13 will be deducted and Rs. 87 will be given as collateral margin for trading. It is based on previous closing price. This program is used to identify the real value of a share with date. It fetches the historical Haircut data (%) and Price of an equity listed in NSE, India at a selected date. It estimates the real worth of a stock. Enter the Date in the format: dd-mm-yyyy. It lists the haircut value (%) and the price of the share on the selected date. Active internet connection is required. If date falls on holiday, no results will be displayed. Enter the symbol for equity listed in NSE. Example, Infosys should be entered as INFY. This is an app you can use to check your accounts homework. It is a VERY basic accounting software which most of the core functions are written within 11 hours. It is designed to mimic manual accounting(done by hand), therefore making it suitable for students and maybe lecturers. You will be greeted with a seemingly empty form when you first launch the app, that is the General Journal, to add a journal entry, simply click Journal > Add Entry.
