    "Solution that just works!"

    Posted 2025-09-03

Pros: The ease of deployment, and the ability to have different endpoint groups really makes administration so much easier.

Cons: I cant fault the platform for anything. the ease of use is simply superb!

Overall: 100% recommend to all internal IT or MSP/MSSPs. The ease of use allowed us to standardise software versions and maintain coherent updates quickly.

"The painkiller to the headache we have never quite cured!"

    Edited 2025-09-02

Pros: Simple visibility of missing patches and vulnerabilities that need addressing

Grouped into categories nicely with a "SLA" to prioritise

The ability to deploy scripts remotely very easily

Cons: The only real con was at initial signup - finding documentation to get started wasn't the most obvious. Saying that the software was simple enough to just dive in

Overall: We went from THINKING we were well patched to actually KNOWING we are. The visibility this has given us is massive, along with being able to now manage remote workers without the need to wait for them to VPN in. Also the ability to simply 3rd party patching has been a massive jump forward.

    "Quick review"

    Posted 2025-09-01

    Pros: Free plan 200 endpoints
Very fast deployment (≈1 minute per device)
Intuitive and centralized interface with customizable reports
Strong automation: scripts, data collection, update rings
Scalable and fast patch management, great WSUS replacement
    Clear roadmap and frequent improvements

Cons: Remote access is basic (no file transfer, chat, or reliable multi-monitor support)
Requires manual effort for custom software packaging/updates
Occasional issues with vendor driver detection
Pricing increases steeply beyond 200 endpoints due to support requirements

Some limitations exist, but can often be mitigated with workarounds or external tools

Overall: Great solution for SMBs and MSPs with primarily Windows environments. Particularly valuable for teams seeking a secure, easy-to-use, cloud-native patch management platform. Strong on automation and compliance, but keep in mind remote access limitations and extra costs if scaling beyond the free tier.

    "It's a life saver for a 1 person IT Dept. "

    Posted 2025-08-28

Pros: What I like most about Action1 is how easy it is to use. You can get Action1 running in no time without any prior experience. Best part of all is that it's free for the first 200 endpoints which is unheard for RMM products.

Cons: The only problem is that it currently doesn't have a way to WoL (Wake-on-LAN) for updates, but it is on the roadmap for a future release.

Overall: Overall, Action1 has been very helpful in deploying patches and scanning for vulnerabilities. It has cut down on updating 3rd-party software by more than half the time.

I’m especially impressed that the free version supports up to 200 devices without restricting any of the functionalities.

Cons: The only issue is that it does not yet support Android devices.

Overall: Action1 is great, and I will gladly recommend it to any administrator.
It integrates well in both small and large establishments.

    "Action 1 for mgmt"

    Posted 2025-08-28

Pros: This has helped our company manage our many computers throughout the company and easily get on with an employee remotely not having to leave our desk to sit in their chair. Set updates on a schedule keeping things up to date and just an all around very useful tool to have available.

Cons: I'm trying to think of anything that's annoyed me and I'm having a hard time thinking of anything...

Overall: Our experience has been a great one so far. No complaints and we've been using this program for over a year now. We have between 100 & 200 client computers we manage from this platform.

"Great product for patch and vulnerability management for software and side by side remote access"

    Posted 2025-08-28

    Pros: Ease of setup
    On Prem deployment agent
easy to upload enterprise apps for deployment
easy to setup and manage groups for alerts and configuration

    Cons: Doesn't see O/S vulnerabilities
    Can't think of any others...

Overall: I would, and do recommend this product for small business and enterprises.
It ticks a lot of boxes for us, managed groups, automatic updates and reporting by group or at an enterprise level. Ability to upload specialist software and deploy with the console, and using custom switches for install options.
    Excellent solution!
