Pros: Once you understand the flow and how things work, it is easy to create tests, panels, locations, etc for whatever the need is. Reports are easy to pull and data is easily accessible after patients have been processed.
Cons: Some things are not user friendly, or a simple thing is only in the new version.
Overall: Overall, I like LabDaq. Most projects are not outside the scope and the engineers are always super helpful is training and understanding a project before assisting.

Pros: LabDAQ is a budget conscious Laboratory Information System that fulfills all the major requirements for a Clinical Laboratory. The Tech Support and Implementation groups have been very helpful in both their efforts to assist and to help teach the intricacies of the system.
Cons: LabDAQ is a little too locked-down for entities that have strong IT support. Even a Read-Only mode for the configurations would be helpful. LabDAQ-Reference Lab connections could be a bit more robust to more readily simultaneously accommodate multiple reference labs and downstream EMRs.
Overall: LabDAQ has done pretty much everything it has advertised. Although not a perfect system, it works well. If there were a perfect Laboratory Information System, there would only be one Company.

"A growing LIMS Solution for growing labs " Posted 2022-02-16
Pros: Acts on client suggestions/adds requested features very quickly, dynamic roadmaps, ease of use, excellent client relations/account rep team, dedicated to continuing software improvement/new releases, frequent opportunities to beta test and upgrade software, pricing is negotiable, easy to build meaningful connections with the staff you work with
Cons: Needs to streamline communication between dev team and clients, project managers are great but custom work can be delayed when the dev team doesn't fully grasp what the client is asking for.
Overall: CGM is dedicated to their clients and to improving their software. Any ask you can make can be accomplished and pricing is generally very negotiable. As mentioned in the pros section, CGM offers tons of opportunities to beta test their software and get sneak peaks of new content - sometimes the new content comes from your suggestions! Most important to my team is their willingness to listen to client suggestions and actually implement them on the next update. This continues to improve our efficiency as a lab and maximizes the value of what we pay for. Tech support has improved drastically over the years, its great to work with a company that is dedicated to serving their clients.

Overall: Overall the experience has been very good with very little downside. I use this product daily and once you learn the ins and outs use is very easy.

"Oncology/Hematology Clinic" Posted 2022-02-10
Pros: We have had Labdaq for over 10 years and it has been the first and only LIS we have worked with during this time. We have been pleased overall with the service and the down time has been very low. The technical staff are pleasant for the most part and if they are not able to help, they find the answers. The answers to our questions come within a reasonable time frame 1-2 days although we have had to call or email more than once. Interface with our EMR went pretty smooth. Also, the interface with our reference lab has had few problems.
Cons: The service when we started 10 years ago was horrible. It has improved tremendously in the past 5 years. When our call is placed the technical staff will and do try to answer our questions right away. If not, a ticket is placed and we hear sooner than later. We do have to call or send emails at times for a follow up.
Overall: We have added a new version since we started and it went pretty well. Not a lot of updates that we could see. Our sales rep has been quick with quotes for our Financial department. The Technical Engineers are knowledgeable but can be a little impatient. The Technical staff overall have been helpful.

"CGM LABDAQ FOR THE LONG GAME" Posted 2022-02-10
Pros: As the manager of Express Lab for the past 17 years, I have extensive experience with CGM Labdaq. We are an independent reference laboratory in a rural part of the country. Our owners had the foresight to choose the Labdaq program in the beginning and we are still using this program over 20 years later. I appreciate the strong partnership that we have formed with CGM over the years and the constant support that they have provided. We started as a small lab with only a few instruments and have been able to grow into a large fully-automated reference lab with the help of the Labdaq program. The flexibility of the program to grow with our business has been crucial. We love the options for interfacing and customizing not only our lab analyzers, but our clients as well. We utilize most all of the Labdaq features including custom reports, tracking, online ordering and results, and customized rules for ordering and resulting labs. Labdaq offers great training options for new employees as well as advanced training for experienced staff. This program is user friendly. Labdaq has continued to upgrade and make changes based on customer feedback. I appreciate that they listen to their customers and respond to our requests for improvements and changes in the program. Overall, we love this program and would not be where we are today without it. We have looked at other solutions and for the price, we couldn't find anything better in the market for our needs than CGM Labdaq.
Cons: As a user of the CGM Labdaq program for over 20 years, we have had some struggles with certain aspects of the program. The rules are limiting at times. Having the online Labnexus program operate as a separate database from Labdaq is not ideal. More detailed reporting options would be helpful. Some of these issues will be addressed when we convert over to the new Labdaq program this year.
Overall: Our overall experience has been excellent. We love that the IT support is based in the United States and that the response time to our requests is generally very fast. We appreciate the sales support with Joe Williams and the IT support from a great team of people that help as often as needed. We like the fact that we can call with suggestions and ideas and be heard. We feel that the pricing model is very reasonable and fair compared to other products on the market with this capability. We are overall pleased and plan to continue our relationship for years to come.

Pros: Labdaq is designed with a Medical Technologist point of view. The ease of navigating this software is really customized with the lab professionals input of the product. You can tell they placed a lot of thought and gathered input from the individuals that use this each and every day.
Cons: I really don't have anything bad to say about this product.
Overall: I would highly recommends this product for anyone considering an LIS change in their organization. I have worked with many other ones in the past and this by far is my preference.

"CGM LabDAQ for the Toxicology Lab" Posted 2022-02-10
Pros: LabDAQ gives our lab the flexibility to document and report our toxicology results across a broad range of analytics, methodologies and platforms while giving us the ability to service a wide variety of clients and meet all their reporting needs. The access to analytics data allows us to collate and interpret so many different facets of drug testing - whether it be what drugs are most often seen, what insurance companies are clients have, compliance with medications, turnaround time, etc.
Cons: I wish there was a better manual for learning the software and walking you through the steps of setting up test, panels, organizations and all the different options. I call tech support and sometimes they help but the process is mostly just trial and error.
Overall: Overall, I'm quite pleased with LabDAQ having used it at two different facilities over the past ten years. I'm still learning new things daily but do feel good about the knowledge I do have

Pros: The uptime is great and the system is very user friendly. Also, the hotline and response time is excellent.
Cons: I do not see any room for improvement. LabDAQ has more functionality than we need. When we needed a custom report in the past, they have always been able to provide that.
Overall: Excellent! We have been using LabDAQ for 10 years now. The system is very user friendly and offers the client to build custom reports to meet the needs of our department.

"CGM review" Posted 2022-02-10
Pros: I love how user friendly it is. New employees pick it up quickly. Tech support is pretty responsive most of the time.
Cons: I don't like that they Nickle and dime us to death even though we pay a significant amount in monthly fees. Also, frustrated with the turn over of engineers lately. I have 2 interface requests that are a year out and still not finished. The assigned engineers for both these interfaces have been switched at least 3 times so it's been like starting over every time a new project engineer is assigned.
Overall: Overall we're pretty happy but it depends a lot on which engineer we work with. Some are better than others but they work pretty well together to figure it out eventually.
