Cons: It has served the purposes I have needed it to over the years, so no complaints.

Pros: The GroupMe is very user friendly and it's easy to get started no matter how much of a novice you are. The fact that you can create events and invitations for your group events is a real plus.

Cons: Sometimes it is a little difficult to follow multiple conversation threads that are subgroups of the main group.

Overall: It's pretty challenging finding a free software product or app that can be as robust as GroupMe, there is really not much more available. This is becoming a universally accepted app and is used by many parents of schoolchildren.

Pros: In my university days, thus was a must have and I've used it for work too. It keeps everyone in the loop no matter where they're at with quick messages. It's good for when you don't need to do a full on meeting but you need to get a message or file out to everyone quickly.

Cons: There's a few glitches with it if you're only using it through your phone number. I suggest always using the app.

Just make sure you use the app instead of having messages delivered as texts so you don't have to worry about any glitches or lost messages.
