About K-9 Mail
K-9 Mail is designed for both novice and power users and offers lots of features for everyone. K-9 Mail has controllable debug logging. Users can activate logging to help diagnosing problems and errors. As an open source privacy-conscious project we don’t implement an always-on logging system that reports all the device’s activity to a central server. While this would make issues easier to fix it would also be costly to host the server and compromise the privacy of our users. Communication security is an increasingly important subject. K-9 Mail aims to provide intuitive e-mail security in many forms, both in terms of supporting secure login to your e-mail server and in the security of the e-mail itself.

Pros: Easy to set up.
Use as many addresses as you like.
Free.
Quite colourful text, making it easy to read incoming mail.
Has unified inbox if that's your thing.
Has all the usual things e.g. notifiers and and signatures - general or specificCons: It prompts for new emails, but only part downloads until given permission and or download images. It may be a security thing, but a pain if you are in a hurry.
When in unified inbox it's not clear which icon leads to which email address
No calendar.
No associated address book, but contacts appear as you type in email address - which means you must remember them.Overall: Getting towards being the mobile version of Mozilla Thunderbird, but not there yet.

Being an android application there is no facility for 'one key' emailing to multiple address books.
Useful if, like me, you send and receive images and as stated above, you have the option of opening them or not.
