"Concerns About Mailbird's New Version Upgrade" Posted 2023-11-06
Pros: I've been a happy user of Mailbird 2 and I jumped at the chance to buy the lifetime deal. This one-time payment for endless use of their great service seemed like a bargain. Mailbird 2 has been a big help, making my email tasks easier with its simple design and strong features.
But things changed with the release of Mailbird 3. This new version, although better and more promising, came with a surprise. The lifetime deal I bought for Mailbird 2 does not cover this upgrade.Cons: It feels like I'm being asked to pay again for Mailbird 3, and that's a letdown. I thought "lifetime" meant that any new versions would be included. But, it looks like I was wrong.
I get that making and maintaining new software costs money. But, it's hard to be asked to pay again after buying a lifetime deal.Overall: In short, while I like the changes in Mailbird 3, I'm upset about the extra cost. I hope Mailbird will think about its long-term customers who bought the previous lifetime deal.

"Top 3 things I like about Mailbird" Posted 2023-08-31
Pros: 1. Reliability in receiving and sending email without duplicating.
2. Send Later allows review time and saves me from sending follow-up emails.
3. Unified Inbox defines by addresses by color.
I like to experiment with alternatives and keep coming back to Mailbird.Cons: Pricing. I'd also like a way to block or delete by simply listing inbound addy.
Overall: Reliability is superior to another supposedly more popular client. The use colors by mailbox allow for at-a-glance mail management.

"Don't Sign Up For Automatic Payments" Posted 2023-08-14
Pros: Initially we really liked the platform because it was similar to Apple's Mail program. Initially we really liked the platform because it was similar to Apple's Mail program. Initially we really liked the platform because it was similar to Apple's Mail program.
Cons: There's absolutely NO service except for help articles provided on their website. There's no way to call them on the phone and just today even their email was returned by Mailbird saying it's no longer in use, but didn't provide an alternative email. The entire platform is an entire money making scam I believe.

"Their technical "support" is a joke." Posted 2021-11-03
Pros: It looks like an intuitive, great, flexible program - if you can use it. The problem is that if you run into any problems whatsoever, there is no meaningful tech support.
Cons: If you google these people, there's a tech support phone number. But it doesn't work. The only tech support, even for paid, premium users is by email. Essentially, there is a 2 day turnaround for each question, and most of the time, the question is "answered" by an irrelevant article url. I've been working for over 3 weeks to try to port some large archived email files from Thunderbird, and have received no useful advice. I have medical practice, medicolegal, academic, and personal files for 20 years (16 GB) I can't port.
Overall: In 3 weeks, have not been able to port data, due to very slow support turnaround. Probably, the issue could be fixed with a 15 minute phone call, but they don't and won't offer that. Further, they won't suggest where I can go to any 3rd party for paid support. Looks good, but can't use.
