Overall: Overall, Sawyer is a wonderful site. Sawyer has made it possible to navigate their site with ease.

Pros: Sawyer has everything you need all in one place! Unlike other services that are simply platforms to advertise to only their client base, Sawyer advertises my classes while also giving my small business a space to easily track client info and finances, allow for easy sign-ups, organize my Calendar, create promotions, and more. Plus their support team is always very responsive to my many questions and quick to reply.

Cons: The system for taking commission can sometimes be funky. People who have been with me for years will often say they tried signing up through my website and yet it still shows up as a marketplace order.

Overall: Overall Sawyer is a very strong and easy system that I have already recommended to other small businesses!

Pros: I started using Sawyer about five years ago. The program allows you to work into the features slowly: I used the most basic features, and now I can set up camps, events, semesters, widgets, financial reports, contact lists, etc.
I learned how to do these things by simply asking through the help center. Then a real person emails me and walks me through my specific question.

Cons: There have been very few limitations, and most of the problems have been my not taking the time to learn the system. I find that Sawyer sets up systems a certain way, and once I get used to it, it provides a consistent way for me to work and for my customers to access info and register.

Overall: I consider myself a good educator, and that is why my business of Art and Music classes is growing! I do not consider myself “tech-savvy” and do not have a team of IT staff…it’s just me. Sawyer has allowed me to have a professional online presence. Sawyer has also acted as my IT team, even when my questions and needs were immediate and desperate! I will be loyal to Sawyer.

Pros: I love the ease of the links, and how easy it is for parents to buy classes. I love being able to upload our information and graphics with minimum work, and I love that we can give refunds. I also like how quickly we get paid :).

Cons: Some features on our admin section (not the customer-facing side) are hard to find, like our rosters, and sometimes I find it hard to see where our information is. It's not as intuitive as it could be.

Overall: I love the ease of working with Sawyer as both a person who sells classes, and as a parent who has bought classes for my child. There are a few features that aren't as intuitive as they could be, Overall, I am happy with the service.

Pros: Sawyer provides an interactive platform for my business clients that is safe, easy to use, and continuously improving. My favorite features are that I can edit and design my whole schedule, I can easily change individual classes, I do not manage any credit cards or payments personally.

Cons: I tried the new email feature and did not figure out how to reference emails. So I copy and and paste the clients emails and send from my business account instead.

Overall: Sawyer is the mainstay of my business operations. It is professional and reliable and very easy to use!

Pros: Customizable embedding for our website, tracking of financials and demographic options, ability to batch email specific rosters

Cons: difficulty in refunds for individuals, and for full classes (canceling one session means hand refunding all of the participants from their "general payment", without an option to "refund for this class")

Overall: I do appreciate Hi Sawyer being so dedicated to helping us use their product, though I wish more of the day to day applications were easier to use.

Pros: There are many features I appreciate from Sawyer: Color coded classes, clearly posted time-zone sensitive times to help coordinate exactly when a class is, which is super helpful for those in other areas of the country (me).

Cons: There aren't many cons I can think of, maybe a dark-mode option?

Overall: Sawyer has been vital to helping me keep up with each of my classes per day, and since they change each day (optional trial classes as well as different time options for students) I always start out my days by checking Sawyer Tools!

Pros: Sawyer is a very unique platform for users and clients alike. It opens so many doors for the DIY-ers to be able to teach their skills to others and teachers with wide ranges of expertise in various areas to be able to teach outside of a typical public school classroom. The back office has been something to learn but I'll have to say that the support has been very good at responding to questions and trying to resolve issues. I would definitly recommend it!

Cons: I have had issues with various things over the two year period I've worked with Sawyer from setting coupons to transfering students from class to class. Some things were able to be resolved and some weren't due to the software design. Recently I've been working with clients doing monthly memberships for multiple choices of classes within one program. It would simply things if when they purchase the membership, that the classes could be viewed and they can choose without having to click "keep shopping." Also recently, I've had issues with being able to download and view the Order Report which I use often.

Overall: I would say the positive outweighs the negative on this software. It's the most unique software for this particular niche. I can see, with further improvements, it being one of the top resources for clients seeking unique experiences and for individuals starting their own business using skills they have to teach to others.

Pros: Ideal registration system for a youth sports organization. The portal is incredibly user friendly on both PC and mobile. Refunding and editing registrations is very simple to do which is important for our organization.

Cons: Would like to be able to send messages to multiple classes/groups simultaneously rather than only be able to message one group at a time. Would also love to have a ‘text communication’ option.

Overall: Very happy with the product and customer service. Registration systems can be very complicated and particularly difficult to use in mobile format, Sawyer however is great!

Pros: We love that all the information we need for students is all in one place and easily accessible for all our instructors.

Cons: When setting up a new class, there's some repetitive steps needed.

Overall: Overall, Sayer has been a game changer to our organization and I wish we had started with them sooner!

Pros: I like that the setup of class offerings is easy and quick. Once the listings are set, creating the schedules is smooth and efficient. I am impressed by the customer support team, they respond within a few hours sometimes minutes. They follow up regularly to know if the problem was solved.

Cons: It is a lengthy process to make changes to the calendar. It takes a long time to cancel/ change sessions once they are on the calendar.

Overall: We have been with Sawyer for 3 years and will continue being with them. We are satisfied with the platform. We love Sawyer!

Pros: Sawyer is easy to use and meets our needs for scheduling events. We've used several other products what really differentiates Sawyer is the support. When we have questions Sawyer staff answer them. At the start of the pandemic we needed to cancel and refund customers for in person events. The refund functionality was not what it needed to be to respond to this situation. The Sawyer team stepped up and quickly got changes made.

Cons: The one feature that seems to be missing is the ability to take a past event and edit it to reuse it.

Overall: Great product, great support! Switching products is hard and time consuming. It was a big decision to switch but we are pleased we did.

Pros: Team support, features. Ease of use and also price. Whenever we had issues they were resolved very quickly. Also integration with our website was easy.

Cons: Would like to find an easy way to get reports who is paying every month. And also would like to use this tool for better attendance check. I am still unsure how to use.

Overall: Great product and team support. Cost effective, handy and efficient tool. Issues were addressed quickly. Over past 3 years tool has improved a lot.

Pros: The registration platform has allowed me to organize my offerings and present them to the public automatically through the Sawyer Marketplace. My customers can register through the Sawyer platform effortlessly and I do not have to worry about registration glitches or errors. I immediately receive an email when a customer registers for a class or program. The Financials are also well organized and deposited into my bank account in a timely manner, I would however like it to be sooner as in immediate or the next day. I like how I can see my total sales number big and bold on the Financials page. I also like how I can easily message all the students in a particular class and also be able to look up any clients' information easily because of the data bank that is stored when customers register. There are many other features I like but in general Sawyer has made running my business a lot easier.

Cons: Some of the features are a little too difficult to figure out and remember. One issue I have is that a sibling discount cannot be applied if the customer chooses to pay monthly.

Overall: Overall I am very pleased with Sawyer. When my website went down I was super glad I had my Sawyer link so that I could at least direct customers to my registration page that lists all of our offerings.

Pros: Sawyer is intuitive and user-friendly for our school staff as well as our families. I also really loved their onboarding process and the level of support they provide.

Cons: At first, the system was a little tricky to get the hang of. But, they’ve pushed out some updates that have really helped with that.

Overall: We love Sawyer! Our school uses it to organize our summer school program. The teachers love that they can directly message families. We also received a lot of great feedback from our families - they love the color coded calendar of events that they registered for.

Pros: I have been using Sawyer since 2020 for our farm animal science camp. The registration process is user friendly.

Using Sawyer gives our camp a notch about the rest because of the professional looking site.

Pros: This product does everything we need it to and is reliable, which is key. No other product offers the features we need so it's become essential, and the support team is responsive, caring, and helpful. Excellent personalized customer service!

Cons: Product changes make you reinvent the wheel often.

Overall: The product is reliable & the team is very responsive, the change of features is hard. Overall great! I just wish they informed us when changes would go into effect and allow us to go back to prior versions if needed to adjust.

Pros: Before we used Sawyer we spent about 4 man-hours per camp or class coding our website to take and record payments, not to mention the time and headaches of communicating cancellations, refunds, or changes. Now if we spend 10 minutes setting up a class, I know I am slacking.

Cons: Moving from menu to menu could be a bit easier. Sometimes jumping between Calendar and Schedule is tedious.

Overall: Very good product that has helped us survive Covid. I had registrations up and running within minutes of agreements for sites.

Cons: -we would LOVE to have an option for an end registration date!!! We offer so many workshops and camps it's hard for us to go in and cut off the registrations manually. The only option being to keep the registration open until the end of the class is unusable and irrelevant. Please, please, please update with an option to put an automatic cutoff date for registering as part of the set up process for a class or camp!!! We also use Activity Hero and are able to specify a precise registration start and end date/time with them. It seems like such and easy fix that would alleviate a lot of frustration.

-Add ons: please fix the add-on feature so that it doesn't AUTOMATICALLY apply to every single person selected. If that could be a manual selection that would help us with how we structure our workshop participants and materials.

Overall: Overall we have enjoyed our experience with Sawyer and have found customer support to be helpful and the updates we've encountered over the past 2-3 years have enhanced user experience.
