Pros: None. Goes slow and doesn't understand instructions. You can use it only if buy tokens in advance. No free trial or free to use with limitations.

Cons: Creates some mistakes and bugs so you can spend more money in tokens to fix them. Also they use the bank account information to pay the subscription after just 3days of trial that wasn't free. If I pay tokens to use , why add a subscription if there is no free-to-use or free-to-test?

Overall: Don't use it. Not recommended. Don't waste your money in tokens because they will make you pay a useless subscription

Pros: The UI it creates is nice

no refunds even on unused credits

Overall: It seems to be amazing until you try to use the app, and then you are thinking ok its just 1 feature broken. Turns out nothing works, and each fix takes a bunch of iterations to fix, its worse than speaking to a junior developer. "I fixed it" but it still doesn't work and so on.
Lovable and Warp are much easier and may be cheaper to deal with.

Cons: Customizing beyond the initial AI-generated output required some manual coding, which may not suit everyone’s needs. It’s still early days for the platform, so there are some areas where more polish or flexibility would be welcome.

Overall: Softgen has been a surprisingly effective tool for me. It’s perfect for rapid prototyping or getting a working version of an app off the ground with minimal effort. While it’s not the right fit for every project—especially those with very specific tech requirements—it’s a fantastic starting point for entrepreneurs or developers looking to move quickly. I’ll definitely keep using it, especially for simpler projects or when I need a functional app fast without heavy lifting.
